Imagine in what direction the outcome would have gone without Kelleher’s saved freekick esrly on.
Thus he got one of my votes for motm.

Superb save and deserves to play in the Final

A very able deputy to Alisson. Seems more stable than the last few back ups and is young enough to get even better.

For the final I want the strongest possible line up. Only place I’d be ok with the cup player starting over our best is GK. Kelleher has earned a shot in goal for the final.

Didn’t see it as was at Jason Manford gig tonight.

Any reason Alisson wasn’t playing? Find it odd he played in 1st leg but not 2nd?

Oh well

Someone explained in the match thread that Alisson only played to make sure he had some game time before the Brentford Match. Kelleher is the usual choice for this competition.

I missed the first 10 but I saw nothing from Arsenal in the remaining 80, TAA sat back slightly especially when they were attacking and it curved Martnelli from having it easy and thus it was assured at the back.

Jota turned up at the right time and was superb as was Robertson and Fabinho.

Only downside is Matip hopefully not serious.

Think it was timed. We’ve been doing that with our subs, and using the half-time sub in competitions where 5 subs are allowed.

Maybe I guess we will see.

Maybe planned to play the weekend I guess Klopp will be asked tomorrow.

We seemed to hang back more on the right side. I noticed Kaide and Taki both taking a deeper position then the other front two. Seemed like a tactical plan to stifle Martinelli. Worked like a charm.

Up the Wembley bound Reds

Yeah I noticed several times the ball went through on that right side and Trent was a bit further back than the backline.

Felt confident when I saw that at 1-0

It definitely seemed to flummox Arsenal. They didn’t have that ball over the top on the right

Just watched the game. It reminded me a lot of the Champions League final in that we scored two goals either side of a long spell of our players saying to Arsenal ‘you’re not fucking scoring lads’.

Diogo Jota. Obviously football is a team game but Jota was in a class by himself this evening.

Posted in the match thread, Jota was unplayable. That term gets used quite a lot to describe how someone performed, but Jota really was operating on an entirely different level than everyone else on the pitch tonight, and Arsenal had no answers for him. Also, his pressing was simply sensational.

I get it, the so called “least important” of all the Cup but I do not care. It feels excellent to me and I am thrilled for everyone, the club and all of our community of supporters.

Great result. Got a final, and a chance for silverware.

Also, good? news from AFCON. Egypt plays Ivory Coast in round of 16. Chance Mo will be back sooner than expected.

Looking forward to a Webley final. Hoist that Kangaroo Cup You Reds!

After all those petty machinations by Pep v 2.0 he still lost at home. Pathetic.

Oh the Goon (aka Arseholes) lovefest of the ESPN commentators in the US

Feel so bad for them who kept on and on about how much under pressure we were under in the fist 15’
Must be difficult to take

I loved it in 2012 when Stevie lifted it. I was in Paris w/the fam and dropped them off at Disneyland and went downtown and watched it on a large screen
I’ll find a way to social-distance celebrate with friends here in my “garden”
