Post match: Arsenal v Liverpool (EPL 16/3/22 8.15pm)

For me the constrictor analogy is more applicable to how City play. We play a bit more like this…

Trent done a great job last night .
Sometimes you’ve got to have your full backs defending and both did brilliantly .
Not sure about Thiago , doesn’t warrant a starting 11 for me .
Ok he found Jota for the first goal , and maybe I’m being harsh but I thought we needed Kaby out there last night .
Didn’t quite work first half for the front 3 .
Unnatural positions maybe .
Wish we could hold the ball a bit better , having said that
We’re better when the opposition come out to play .
Well done Reds .
Great result .

Took it out the hand of goal difference.

Individually he was by far their best player and probably had the best game out of all the attackers on the pitch.

Where was the media when Citeh gained 2 points at the bitters and we lost out on a win against Spurs

I was aware the draw was on Friday, but thought it was Thursday when I posted…which is more embarrassing tbh :flushed:
Anyway, yep, point stands, but for Friday

This. It makes me think of what Inzaghi said about our squad. I’m paraphrasing, he said, Liverpool let you think you have a chance, then finish you off.

It was an unbelievably impressive win. Arsenal came into the match full of themselves, and with good reason, they’ve been on form. In the end we showed them their proper place. I got the sense, judging by The Boss’s demeanor, the boys weren’t executing exactly what he wanted in the first half and let them know about it at halftime. The second half was all ours.

Interesting listening to football journalist Andy Brassell talk about TAA today. He called him the most underrated and under appreciated RB in England. Said he’s tired of hearing people knock Trent about the defensive side of his game. From his perspective, all this talk of Martinelli “skinning” Trent was grossly exaggerated, his opinion was although Martinelli had a moment or two in the first half, Trent wore Martinelli out as the match progressed.

Joel and Ali my MOTM.
