Post match: Arsenal v Liverpool (EPL 8/1/25 8pm)

He would be available for the CL mind

Not at all. Why do you say that?
We played better but that’s not enough to say our game was raised. That would imply we went head to head with them which we didn’t however we did tactically out manoeuvre them.

His pace allows us that outlet we haven’t had for a while. Just needs that little bit more quality with the final ball but brought a freshness back to our team

What a stupid thing to say, it’s not internet out there!

If I ever have a crash in my car I just hope Martinelli isn’t walking past… With a suspected broken neck, crushed ribcage etc.. I don’t fancy that cnut trying to roll me out of my car before the medic arrives…!
The Footballing body needs to take a closer look at his actions

I’m curious, why would you expect us to go head to head with them under our current circumstance?

From the guardian write up

It didn’t take Saka very long to realise that he had the beating of Milos Kerkez, who was perhaps a surprise selection at left-back ahead of the more experienced Andy Robertson.

When did this happen?

Corner turned?

Proved that Arse are just that. We took the best they could throw at us in the first half and controlled it in the second half. Shame we didn’t have a striker to finish it off.

I couldn’t help thinking that this and quite a few other games this season were perfect for a player like Diogo Jota to work his magic inside the box.

He is missed in so many ways

He might have got a 5 match ban,

But he’d finally get a song made for him,

A song that we’d sing every time we play arsenal!

Where did I say that?

I have to say I did have that thought a few times

I’m actually fuming with Martinelli. Honestly, I don’t know how the Liverpool players didn’t go over there and whack him, to be honest with you and take a red card. Absolutely disgraceful, that.

…and another

How is Martinelli still on the pitch after that? What an absolute disgrace.

Martinelli should have been red-carded for that push, totally not in line with the ā€œrespectā€ ethos.

Goldbridge went in hard on That’s Football too.

Everyone fucking hates Arsenal, it feels like. You rarely see those begruging respect from a neutral supporter comments…everyone just thinks they’re cunts.

As likeable as Man City without the money to pay the press.

Martinelli should have had a red card.
Liverpool should have had a penalty.
