They say horrendous…
We say, just another biased display against us

A better performance from us and we’d win that match.
Not necessarily, it’s all about how many times the ball goes in the net not who plays the best.
I get the perspective, but I dont see how it can be applied to this game. For all their supposed dominance, they only scored 1 goal without a significant assist from the officials. What other big chances did they have? I recall one good save from Ali from Oodengard (sp?) from the edge of the box in the second half but not much else in terms of real quality chances created. I wouldnt have put money on us seeing out the game, but I’m not going to shrug my shoulders at an absurdly granted winning goal due to the inevitibaility of them eventually scoring anyway.
This sort of stuff is really unbecoming of us. There is enough legitimate source of frustration with the officials yesterday and the overall situation as a while to vent about those without having to make up things like this. Tsimi fucking clattered him. On another day he could easily have been sent off, and I think the biggest thing that prevented Oliver making that decision was his sheepishness over a situation he partly created. It wasn’t malicious, but it doesnt have to be for it to be a red. When you make contact with someone’s face like that with your elbow or forearm or whatever you want to call it then it is by definition a challenge made with reckless disregard of the opposition’s safety. Arsenal were shit houses with this stuff throughout the game embellishing any form of contact. What was different about this was the complete lack of histrionics. That is different from what they had been doing all game, and Jesus had enough moments of that himself, that when he goes down like that, after taking such a legit wallop, there is absolutely no reason at all to think it was anything other than legit.
True. Majority of the time the team who has better control of the match creates the better chances and wins. Just like yesterday.
Well we control most matches
This season Bournemouth and probably Palace for a bit. Maybe Newcastle. It happens. We can all see we’re having problems but unfortunately we can’t fix it till probably the summer.
I highly doubt that.
It’s because they’re cheats mate.
I’ve been banging on about this for the longest time. @jaffod even longer than me.
The refs are either bent or incompetent.
But judging by the number of crucial decisions that go against us, I’d have to say bent.
I’m convinced the refs handed the title to City last season. I’ve gone over the specific incidents enough times so I won’t rehash but you all know which ones.
And if anyone says “home field advantage”…we NEVER get calls like that at Anfield
I hope you’re right. I’m not suggesting we’re all of a sudden relegation fodder but it’s apparent we’re fighting for top 4 and not the title this season.
I am sure Tsimi made contact with someone’s face early in the first half so I personally thought he was a little lucky to not even pick up a yellow for it.
I agree that its a dangerous slope when you start picking at refereeing decisions that weren’t there and using that as further supporting evidence for referee corruption or whatever it is you are all calling it. I think I am the only person on this forum that thinks the ‘handball’ decision was correct, so that ESPN article you linked yesterday that almost to the word provided the exact same reasoning as I did (especially comparing to the Newcastle-Brentford handball) was a relief.
IMO it doesn’t help our case drawing attention to decisions that were 50-50 at best, or ones we completely overlook like the Tsimi one. Doing so just demonstrate our bias and doesn’t do anything to highlight the overall injustice we face so regularly.
Their midfield is much more agile and faster than ours. We couldn’t lay a glove on them in that match.
Game of two halves we bossed the first half they the second.
I saw it quite a few times on the replay, and that was not my take away…
Somebody posted an interview Klopp did recently where he talked about decisions in our games and imo it’s pretty clear he holds the same views many of us do but he can’t really say as much for obvious reasons.
He asked “what went our way?” and that’s something myself and others have been asking for a long time. ‘Incompetence’ would suggest things even themselves out over time but I genuinely struggle to recall a decision in our favour where I ended up thinking “fucking hell, we got away with one there”. It’s so one-sided as to be ridiculous.
I think once Klopp leaves and goes back to Germany he’ll have a lot to say on the state of the game in this country and the issue of referee bias and corruption will be high on the list.
I think you are right when you say referees handed the title to City last season and Kavanagh sticks out like a sore thumb. I’ve said a couple of times the biggest mistake this club made in the summer was not going after that cunt and exposing him for what he is and we continue to pay the price for our acceptance of it all.
I also believe we were robbed of the title the in 2018-19 by dodgy refereeing and in 2013-14. 3 titles in less than 10 years those fucking human-right’s abusing scum have had gifted to them.
They were much better than us and deserved to win. They were hungrier, they had more energy, they pressed better and kept the ball better. One of the things that makes this forum harder and harder to engage in is the obsession with refereeing decisions and the impact it has on the outcome of our games. That’s not the reason we only have 10 points. I’m not accusing you of this btw but I’m making a general point. A more interesting and relevant topic of debate is how when we went to 2-2 we completely fell away and Arsenal bossed the game. How when teams come at us as Arsenal did when it was 2-2 we can’t impose ourselves on games any more. The only time we have control now is when teams allow us to.
Oh dear! Oh dear!..so the first Arse goal was and did include an offside…but because of a ‘technical error’ VAR couldn’t check it…so they guessed…oh dear! oh dear!..get rid of they bloody system, if that’s what an important game comes to.

Source?
Well done Richard Keys although we don’t know if it was offside for definite, just states that it malfunctioned & couldn’t prove he was onside.
If you don’t laugh you’ll cry, & yet they cry at the first sight of “abuse” and question where it comes from. Cunts.
