First half was a bore. Second half much better until the changes then we invited pressure. Good win at a really tough away ground. It’s actually disheartening reading all the negativity about our team and players though who are clearly still a work in progress. We’re 5 games (unbeaten btw) into a new season with a new coach yet all you see is how crap our world class players are and that they should be sold or gotten rid of because they haven’t clicked yet.

And the best part of the defense is that we are playing a really high backline
I thought it was Virgil ageing that made us play with q relatively lower bacline last season.
Turns out it was Slot not doing what the team really was equipped to do.

Was pretty grim but we got the result.
Just hoping our football gets much better and we can get our attacking players going.
We´re pretty poor with the ball but we seem to have made ourselves fairly solid defensively, which is a good start and for now I think that is okay.

If it was the one thing I’d have expected to see it would have been that. Our defense was a joke last season.

If we have an option for Araujo and he’s flexible on his salary demands , I think we should look to sign him up.
Good work ethic and clearly believes in leading by example. Even if Virgil gets another extension , we need some experience on the defence when he does decide to call it a day.
And he’s very difficult to beat when he’s playing as a right back. Also offers more offensively than Joe Gomez.

Yet to hit our stride but unbeaten in the league and first cup and CL wins under our belt. After the turgid end to last season I’d have happily taken that if offered going into the international break.
Isak already more league goals than last season which is pleasing. The performances aren’t quite there but it’s a lot less of a worry if he’s banging goals in anyway. Barcola barely been here three weeks so plenty more to come from him. Jacquet looking boss, Munoz got his first goal, Dom probably got goal of the season tied up already and both Mac and Gakpo showing those who wrote them off to be fools.
Still plenty to do but positive signs to be taken without feeling like we’re going overboard with praise just yet.

Goals are nice and all but I think he needs to work on the number of touches and game involvement…

I think with a couple more player in January we might do well especially now we are a bit more solid at the back (3 clean sheets in a row).

Yup been so impressed with Ronald.
Need to pay no attention to Carra and his “he’s not a RB comments”. Alongside Jacquet, who has been immense, and Araujo at RB, I can see us keeping a lot of clean sheets this season 
On the other hand to say I’m getting frustrated with Wirtz would be a hell of an understatement!

I think so yes.
At the moment midfield is very bad with the ball and it impacts the attack of course. The front 6 overall is struggling. We play absolutely no football in the middle and we´re struggling to get our attackers on the ball in good areas. It´s poor.
But we do seem to have a solid platform to play now at the back. So we can focus on trying to keep that and now play more football and score more, that´s where the next progress comes. It´s a challenge, no doubt, but we can definitelty improve a lot with his solid base.
