Delighted for Darwin. The first goal was a “my granny could score it” type goal, but he had to be in the right place at the right time. The second had a real swagger of restored confidence.
Trent made the first goal and was strong on the attack. Konaté hoovered up at the back.
Disjointed and unbalanced probably more like it until the subs came on. Attaque also lacked realisme and weren’t clinical.
The end was fantastic, happy day in the end.
Apart from the goals, fave moment was when Mbeumo broke from midfield, Szob turned on the turbo to get goal side and as he checked back, Trent, who had also recovered brilliantly took the ball of Mbeumo.
If one thing I could fault Virg is that sometimes he doesn’t bust a gut to cover i.e v Arsenal when Saka scores, if he busts a gut rather than trusting Robbo to deal with it, Saka probably doesn’t score.
If I was Slot I would be praising Trent more for his recovery run than his assist.
Although apart from their 1st chance Trent was excellent today
