What after drawing with Soton they’ve won two games and one of them was Wycombe.
Anyhow it’s two points dropped but others have dropped points against sides I wouldn’t even rate that high.
Chelsea could say they have two tough games out of the way (Not rating Arsenal as tough to be honest), Next week is vital but the fixtures have been slightly more friendly to us than them what with an away game in Paris.
The league title won’t need 90 odd points in my view, you might say those 2 points will cost us come the end of the season but the one point might see us through, way too early to be upset and I’d have taken 14 from 18 to start the season. But we need to make it 17/21 next week especially as it’s at home.
Totally sucks that our defense decided to have the day off and we dropped two points.
But as a reminder, prior to this match, we’d allowed one goal, and that was off a dead ball. We’ve been good up until today.

The defending was shambolic on the second and third goals. Really disappointed with dropping two points as a result of being unable to defend a floated cross into the 6yd box. Twice.
Allison needs to punch those clear. If he isn’t going to do that, Matip needs to figure out his fuckin coverage and not let Trent get double-teamed like that. FFS I thought normally-steady Joel had a nightmare out there in the second half.
When we went up 3-2, you cancel the Jones planned substitution and beef up your midfield. Got that all wrong, IMO. Cannot ship 3 goals to a promoted side. Period. That was shocking
Brenford are a decent side,they showed that again today.

We didn’t deserve to win this game, we could have won it, and could also have lost it. I just hope that Brentford play as well as they did against us, vs the other teams like City and Chelsea.
A game with no injuries finally, not the worst day at the office, nor the best, I’d take it. Feels strange to see Mane and VVD looking mediocre… hopefully this is the wake-up call we needed (or did we?).
This seems a little off to me as it was the ball going out wide and crosses coming in that undid us twice. For me had to stop the cross because they were very effective at overloading Trent at the back post. Stop the cross stop the goals, simple!
Going on about profligacy is a bit ridiculous. Yes, there were some chances missed. But you should not need your attack to score four, five and six goals to win a football match.
We scored three goals yesterday and that should be job done. The problem yesterday was that for the first time this season the defence looked shaky. Every time Brentford approached our box they looked like scoring.
We will play a lot worse and win during the course of the season.
I don’t think you can entirely blame TAA he can’t help having 3 players attacking him. It’s up to Matip to give him a hand or Klopp with a tactical change to help him.
Just find it strange that no matter what minamino does he never gets a chance. Ox again ignored (rightly so after Norwich) but Klopp just doesn’t trust/rate these players and would rather put on a rusty firmino.
Blaming single players is bullshit and calling them (Robbo to be replaced) even more.
Whole back 4 was not up to it. Fabinho wasn’t. Alisson wasn’t - on a ‘normal’ day he concedes just one of those goals.
Diogo and Sadio were not up to it.
And yet, Diogo scored + Fabinho and Robbo assisted goals.
I saw Trent vs 3 twice. That’s not because one or two players had a bad day. That was because the whole team didn’t defend like we have to with the attacking style we play.
I thought Alisson had one of his poorest games in a while. He saved 0 shots and his kicking was dire.
Matip and VVD were off,TAA was targeted and Robbo just didn’t get going.
You can’t have your back 5 completely off their game and win. But…the only positive is we didn’t lose.
Take the point as it’s never easy going to a newly promoted team who are high in confidence.
You want these teams in Feb once others have found them out and they have taking a few beatings. This was their first game at home v a heavyweight so whoever it was out the big 4 was gonna be tough.
Don’t forget Fabinho who had a bad game, too. That’s your back 6.
Not to mention that Sadio and Diogo offered zero defensively.
Complacency, and got well and truly bullied .

Enjoyed the game, feel gutted this morning tho, crucial points dropped. I like Brentford’s style, giving each player a pint of cider when they were subbed off was nice touch, not sure about the straw tho.
