Post match: Brighton v Liverpool (EPL 19/5/25 8pm)

I honestly can’t think of a single “mistake” he made, other than not forcing himself on the game a bit more, but Nunez didn’t exactly either and I guarantee Jota would have been just anonymous given the service.

He doesn’t look physically strong enough.

I didn’t mean his reaction when he had hair…
I meant for Szoboslai’s goal.

Hardly surprising, seeing he’s barely played all season.

I know people are desperate for him to do well but looking at that objectively if its anyone else they are getting slated all game.

Hmmm is there a correlation.

When do we start arguing about Slot being disrespectful by putting Trent in the squad but leaving him on the bench and bringing Endo on instead?

The football that mattered was played weeks ago. Roll on the trophy lift, the parade and some shiny new players to get excited about ready for winning 21/7 next season.

I forgot to do Nunez

Nunez. Came on. That’s pretty much it. Standard Nunez performance. Hopefully we get a decent price, but he’s not making that particularly likely.

It’s absolutely dire. He isn’t getting service? He isn’t making the right runs? Seriously?

Maybe Slot knows what he’s doing?

Arne’s post-match attire.
We should play like Champions, not like we are on a ‘Rave’!

He’s become the cult hero without actually doing anything.

Been saying that all season. There’s an obvious reason why Slot doesn’t trust him. He’s on a different wavelength. Strange signing

He struggled because we don’t have a 10. Elliot was missing all game except for his goal.
The problem we see is Slot doesn’t give fair chances to fringe players. He puts too many in in essential positions when he does and sure they can not look good as they haven’t the game time to make a coherent unit.
The midfield was completely rehashed compared to what we have seen during the season that doesn’t bode well for a striker or winger wishing to make an impression.

I was more desperate for Nunez to succeed tbh. Not arsed about Chiesa as he was a bonus signing. But I didn’t think he did anything particularly egregious tonight. Salah and Elliott both missed clear chances to play him in-- the latter infuriated me because Chiesa had made a good run off the shoulder.

Salah going under the radar somewhat, he’s been fucking useless for some time.

Well he has been one who has mostly delivered the title so you’d expect him to be given a bit of leeway.

A lot of the squad just aren’t suggesting they should play.

We could’ve played better, but it’s not worth delving too deep into as there wasn’t anything at stake and it was half expected, you don’t come back from the beaches in Dubai only 72 hours ago, travel 6 hours to the south coast and transition into this super human motivator machine.

him and Diaz had the same annoying tendency tonight: taking on seven players at a time instead of passing the fecking bill to the clear man in space.

Salah has done it for years. His figures are fucking insane so I know it comes across as cry-arsing but for me if he made the right choices he’d have twice as many goal involvements.

Thought Chiesa looked good when he had the ball, but didn’t get on it nearly enough to impact the game or be relevant in any way.

The game as a whole was a bit meh, but open and entertaining. Scored a couple nice goals, defended like we thought the league was already won.

A little worried the lack of intensity after clinching will carry into next season, but not enough to come up with an actual rant about it. Going to just hope a break, a couple new faces, and we will come back at the end of the summer with renewed focus and determination.
