They almost got what they set out to do but from their perspective it is cruel but for ours, just glad to get it over and get 3 points.

Never in, erm, doubt.

Turgid trip to a tough away ground against a team that parked two buses, didn’t play particularly well, yet got a clean sheet and three points. :man_shrugging:

Tbh, the most frustrating game of the season so far. But we won, so who cares.

Why can’t I vote Hannibal and Ugowhukwu?

Grav take a bow, rest of them…holy fucking shite.

Grav was the only player who looked the goods for me although Rio with his cameo and both Bradley and Robbo did well. We really don’t seem to get Wirtz on the ball enough; so many times he looked free and we passed it around him. Hoepfully this gets sorted out on the training pitch, pronto and with someone like Alex coming in Flo gets on the ball and starts to influence things

Pleased with the 3 points, the effort and the never-say-die attitude. We were far from fluid and sharp though, but that can be attributed to the break. Had we played them at another time, it would have been more comfortable.

Nevertheless, 4 wins out of 4, first in the standings and lots of room to improve. Not much to complain about.

YEEEEEEEEESSSSSSS!!!

These are the games: away from home after an international break, a tough team closing the spaces like an oyster closes its shells, nothing happening for us, playing ugly, but still working hard, insisting while staying focused at the back, and finally getting the reward.

This is not a cruel result for Burnley. It’s the reward for our lads who never gave up while Burnley were defending deeper and deeper because they were finished. Congrats to Frimpong, Chiesa and co. for eventually finding a way and breaking them down as they deserved!

I gave my votes to Virgil and Konaté who didn’t put a foot wrong during the whole game, and to Mo, who despite a difficult game for him, still scored a peach of a penalty . At the 94th minute! That felt good, eh?

I really thought we’d have to settle for a point but the Gods were with us , and against the Worst Dressed Man in Football , Scotty Parker. His face at the end was worth the ninety minutes of torture they inflicted on us.

But… he’s wearing a tie, innit?

Cruel to watch that style, but understandable
