Post match: Crystal Palace v Liverpool (EPL 19/12/20 12.30pm)

I was quietly confident about this one. Yes, it was a potential banana-skin; Palace has shown lots of vigor during the season and our away form wasn’t exactly Steller. I was expecting a 2-1 or maybe a 3-1. So yeah, I’m totally flabbergasted by the performance and the score-line.

The pundits were moaning something along the line ‘if they (Palace) had taken those chances’. Well, if we had taken all the chances, we would have been at 39 points. But it isn’t Football Manager, is it!!! So, suck it.

Just watched a bit of Roy’s post match presser. He said we humiliated them and there was nothing positive he could say about it. Then he said we will just have to come over it…we all did Roy, we all did.

At least he didn’t say “the better team lost today” like another manager. So, well done Roy.

Very impressive performance

Palace created a few chances for about 10-15 minutes in the 1st half otherwise it was a whitewash really.

Jordi was massive, everywhere, shut down alot of what they where doing and at 1 nil they looked in the game.

Then we just when wooshka and it was game over. Hopefully a sign of us finding some form been a bit patchy which with the schedule and injuries is completely understandable

Brilliant display though from every player and great to see Taki get on the scoresheet and Ox get some minutes.

Very pleasing, on so many levels.

Just want to give a shout out to Sadio Mane. His goal was excellent, and he did most of his work when the game was still being contested. In terms of personal accolades Mo came on and scored a couple, which was nice, and Mane was disappointed when he went off, as he knew there were more goals coming and he wanted to be part of it.

But Sadio, we see you! You are world class and you were excellent today. Chin up mate!

(I know he reads this forum!)

Luka Milivojević: “I’ve never had anything like that in my life. Liverpool were ruthless. They were clinical.”

Fantastic play especially in the second half today with total domination football and scoring 7 from 8 chances is incredible.

Unbelievably superb display of finishing. Great performance all round. Taki , best game to date and Naby best for a while. Skipper superb as ever. The best two players on recent form started on the bench and still every thing clicked into place from the first minute. Good to see Ox back as well and what can you say about Bobby other than “superb”. I will enjoy watching this one over a few times
