Post Match: Everton v Liverpool (EPL 17/10/2020 12.30pm)

That’s the kind of crap they spout all the time. We’re the People’s club blah fucking blah!

I’d accept the apology if it was a one off, a aberration in an otherwise sound performance, but there was clearly a deliberate policy of going in hard, and leaving a foot in. Today two of their players had to apologise to two of our players for injury causing bad tackles. That isn’t an regrettable accident, it’s the consequence of a shithouse approach to the game.

Ugh, I just saw the freeze frame of the Virgil offside. It was offside literally at the point of his shirt sleeve, with every part of him other than the arm onside. Without this change to the handball rule that no one wanted we’d have got the pen there and the Hendo goal.

Is there anyway we can lodge a serious complaint elsewhere besides the Premier League, to review the Prickford challenge, the Henderson goal etc to turn things ???

Its just so fucking insane at the level of incompetence by the officiating team, i cant let this go, just cant.

Can’t even enjoy United’s goal being overturned.

The thrill is gone, lads and ladies.

Yeah, dont forget Mina’s shithouse shove on Robbo. As I said during the game, they were leaving someone on every tackle, were willing to engage off the ball shithousery and on top of that put in two absolute shockers

As soon as someone mentioned it was the arm pit I had my doubts about the VvD one. The Mane one just becomes a given.

pretty scandalous that you’ve got VAR refs that cant apply the rules. Quite pathetic in all reality

I’m on the phone with Caas right now.

I dont understand. Virgil’s was definitely offside. It was just ONLY offside because of a recent rule change for handball that no one outside of the room of idiots who wrote it think is a good idea.

I’ll be honest I’ll have to see it again.

Just pissed off with the game and the fact that even with a third ref and computer tech / assistance we’re still discussing refereeing decisions. That’s just incompetent bollocks.

Mina hammered Sadio right before platinum blonde’a first degree manslaughter attempt on Thiago. I was shocked Oliver didn’t call it or maybe he played the advantage?

Thing is, even if Pickford goes, he gets at most a three game ban. I suspect van Dijk is in line to miss far more than that.

Richarlison misses what, 5-10 minutes. Disrupts the end of the game, eats up a chunk of time and will probably miss fewer games than Thiago as a result of the incident.

A system that’s almost as fucked as VAR.

I’m going to put aside the refereeing decisions because we’re all in consensus about them.

Even as we drew 2-2 at Goodison, you have to think Everton came into the match with a ton of confidence - top of the table, a Liverpool team coming off a disastrous defeat, feeling like they can finally beat us - only to recognize the MASSIVE gulf of quality that still exits between themselves and a world class club like our Reds.

They know they should have lost. Even with Adrian in goal. Even with Virgil injured.

I can take some solace in that.

You just know VVDs season is over

Supposed to be tipped for top 4 and we still deserved to beat them.

Also beat Chelsea and Arsenal, the Villa game in my view is the only disappointment, I only followed it on my phone so less disappointed. As others have said more disappointed with the injuries than the result, the result can be sorted in quick time, and with the Chelsea draw I would say the teams who could likely challenge will all still be behind us come this weekend.

So it really does come back to the injuries, my hope is Becker is back soon and Thiago’s is a short one, I feel VVD is probably bad, Klopp is usually honest.

That was their annual cup final, the game they were finally going to beat us and still, we pissed all over them, despite their shithouse tactics and inept officials.
