agreed. I had the sneaky feeling that even with our dire form and with their general upturn in fortunes, we’d still somehow get away with a win. Most traditionally “big” teams that have switched stadiums have gone through relatively barren spells, especially falling short in crunch matches. Arsenal haven’t won the PL since they left Highbury, Look at the state of Spurs, and Everton didn’t have the extra needle of a Goodison Derby.
Bodes well for us in this fixture going forward. I don’t expect us to be this bad next season.
