Carragher having a moan that they don’t look happy with the win. Fuck off Jamie. The manager is talking to them and that’s when you sit and listen. Would you have been jumping around like a bellend if Rafa was trying to do a post match talk?
Jesus, you call that having a moan? You’re here having a bigger moan about him after saying virtually nothing, you’d think he’d just gone on a 5 minute Mo Salah going off on the manage type rant or something. You can hear him giggling away right after he says it.
Eh,what!
Is that 3 derbies and 3 losses for Moyes since he came back?
Listening to Radio Merseyside Total Sports Commentary for today’s match…Either the commentators were too close to the Bitters supporters, or one of the secondary commentator is a Bitter (yup, just checked, it’s Alan Stubbs, a former Bitter). The scream for the offside goal and Beto’s equaliser blew the bloody speaker. Cry bitter tears.
It’s a history they can never change. A new era starts with a loss to the most bitter rivals ![]()

He’s Virgil Van Dijk, he’s Virgil Van Dijk.
I thought Jones did well at RB. Better him there than Dom - who is way better than Jones in MF.
Overall same old same old performance.
Really? I honestly thought Jones was poor yesterday (to be fair to him it’s not his position). Interesting how 2 people watching the game can have polar opposite opinions. I guess that’s partly why forums are interesting.
Yes, I did have that unfortunate experience on several occasions. It was pretty horrible stuff to watch.
His goal saving shoulder barge, that Everton wanted a penalty for, was the best action our lads managed during the whole match. Despite that he’s no RB nor is Dom. When Dom refused to swap with Curtis and didn’t even bother helping him out it got very difficult for Curtis. I mean if your only out is Konaté or Salah your a bit fucked!
In any case we were crap particularly the first 20 minutes. We looked like a ‘team’ put together after a new year’s eve piss up. When you see that space between the lines, no combinations … etc as if they never train it’s just frustrating.
That Everton were equally bad just made it worst. Apart from the fans one would never have known it was a derby. Just 2 sets of 11 hung over idiots.
This is why I don’t understand the holidays, except to get a rest from each other, as they don’t look like they have worked on anything. Yet they got 2 days off.
Ah. You didn’t see Brentford vs. Fulham then. God, that was tedious.
Agree with you about Gravenberch though. He was absolutely useless. Mind you, Wirtz wasn’t much better.
Anyway, onward and upward. Third place here we come. Whooppee!
Strange then that MOTD picked him out as having a particularly good game…“back to his form of last season”.
I’ve only just seen the goals. Brilliant pass from the much maligned Gakpo, for Salah’s goal.
Konaté is more dangerous when he runs forward with the ball. Finding much better options for orientating the game than Gravenberch.
Gravenberch can’t find anything Infront of him so ends up shooting from outside the box or loosing the ball.
All our midfielders keep the ball far too long. It’s painful. The lack of training to be so slow is evident now. We’re looking for individuals to make a difference and haven’t the individuals to do this, we couldn’t even get the ball to them, even if we did, at the right time or place.
I would agree with you, but I can’t remember!
I thought he was fine yesterday. Back to the form of last season is a stretch, but he was nowhere near bad enough to justify all the slagging off here, which seems to be driven by a preconceived notion that he is a terrible footballer.

It’s often said that Konate gives you a 2/10 or a 9/10. Jones was that yesterday within the same game. I thought he was good enough yesterday to justify a MOTM vote (which says a lot for the rest of the field), but there were lots of instances of ‘what the fuck are you doing’ moments to justify any criticism of him as well.
A lot of this is a result of his biggest problem as a footballer which is that he holds onto the ball far too long. This press resistance is a fantastic asset when he needs to get out of trouble, but just because you can, it doesn’t mean you always should, and certainly not at right back. He put himself in trouble a few times, and Everton clocked on to this in the second half. What did more damage, and led to some really dangerous situations for us, were the occasions when he did release the pass, but waited so long that his target was already under pressure when they received it.
