Post Match: Everton v Liverpool (EPL 24/4/24 8pm)

This is the only gripe with Klopp for me his giving youth a chance is only really when hes had no other option.

Why did it have to be Everton?

Ignore is a great function.

No, Iā€™m just saying people with these ā€˜hot takesā€™ need to calm down a bit before posting.

Diaz is a good example. He was really good tonight. A few weeks ago lads here we saying he should be sold.

He got shown up as been a fool in the summer that everybody who thought the Dom signing was going to happen was an idiot.

Iā€™ve silenced the lad until tomorrow 08:00. Now he can follow your advice.

Get lost with this shite.

Well shite :poop:ā€¦ I didnā€™t think it would end this way for us, but it looks like the whole team is just completely knacker and out of sort. I donā€™t know how this happened, but maybe that Man U defeat in the FA Cup last month took the wind out of our sail. Our forwards not being able to put away chances doesnā€™t help as well.
To be honest our team always struggle against Low Blocking teams. On the other hand, teams that go toe to toe with us we dominate because we are so good on counter. This past two weeks have absolutely been dreadful to watch. Yes we a lot of of the possession, but all we do is just passing it on the periphery and when we run out of space on the flank we just hoofs it in hoping for the best. There were Grade A scoring chances but our forwards canā€™t finish.
The way we setup is so predictable, all our opposition would just low block with 2 lines of players and congest the middle. What needs to happen is someone from midfield to dribble and beat the first defender to create space and hence breaking the defensive line. Either we donā€™t have the players to do this or Klopp is just too stubborn to change a different method to attack. I donā€™t know what happened to Szbo, but he was supposed to be the midfielder that would give us the dribbling ability from midfield. What I think weā€™re missing is Matip ball carrying ability, and thatā€™s why he was the perfect partner for VVD. Matipā€™s ability to dribble the ball effectively breaks the line and create space for other players. At the moment we have no CB that can do that, and our midfielders canā€™t help with that as well. Hence our buildup becomes so static and easy to defend.
I am sad the title challenge is done and dusted, but on the other hand, I hope the players can now just play football without pressure. Enjoy football again, and make our gaffer proud with the best send off we can give him.

can wayne rooney stfu, the cunt

This. Two handed pushes on VVD and Konate, but any touch on them and hit the floor.

Thatā€™s why Klopp was onto the 4th offical right in the first half, as he could see how this wuld play out over 90 minutes.

Having said that, we were sloppy and gave the ball away at times. Everton had a low block, kept on position, and waited for us to mess up. Then they would spring forward.

So well played to Dyche. On to Saturday.

Until the past few games, we HAVE been unlocking low blocks. In fact, weā€™ve done better than those type of teams over the season. For me, itā€™s just weā€™re running out of steam after battling through injuries, forwards losing the ability to finish, referees, etc.

Weā€™ve been beaten by the bitters, the officials and by our own players tonight. Iā€™m just glad itā€™s a Wednesday game and not a Friday or Saturday.

Nunez manages to snatch a miss from the jaws of a goal. Mind you he wasnā€™t the only one.

dude is more often than not snatching a miss from the jaws of a goal. its like a pleasant surprise when he actually scores

The way Mo has played since his injury, the team will be lucky to get 10p and a Curly Wurly for him. Utter gak.

true. But just simply a sad way for it to endā€¦
