Sels had a perfect 0 compared to xG coming i to the game (ie. xG is exactly the same as the number of goals he has actually conceded) so of course he puts in a performance where he outperforms xG by a factor of 2 
Alisson underperformed xG once again. Heās unfortunately making a habit of it.

Disappointed not to win but a point away from home to third isnāt a bad result. Especially under the lights with a raucous crowd and giving them the encouragement early on with conceding a poor goal.
Did enough to win it but just needed that bit better a finish or a touch of luck. Another game where their keeper is probably man of the match, not that Mcmanaman gave it to him.
Need to get some of that early season defensive solidity back. Felt that first half was really sloppy as everything was being forced a bit too much because we were rushing to try and claw it back.
Overall I think this result could look very positive if Spurs do us any kind of favour tomorrow night.

The refs let go a lot of fouls to break our rythm we should have had a penalty, I predicted to my son the score and the tactics used by them as the game at Anfield one counterattack they score and try to hold on, I hope they qualify for the CL and see if they can maintain that energy for all their games.
Jota is absolutely deadly if he could stay healthy for the rest of the season he just might be the difference to win the league.

I actually though about him with about 5 minutes to go - big challenges flew in the midfield then Forest broke and Trent sprinted to get back in and win the ball. So physical. I had the thought āYeah I can see why he isnāt using Elliott todayā.

Defensively after the goal they never looked like scoring again.
With this kind of engagement and sticking around during a successful season, I doubt it.
If that was the case, mad respect for inflicting yourself so much pain. Jesus Christ level.
But I think itās simpler, just immaturity and passion.

All in all that was a very good point away from home against an amped up, and useful Forest side. They hadnāt conceded in 500 mins and we burst that bubble and were very unlucky not to run out winners.
First half was iffy, but second half we were so dominant. A little bit of wastefulness from us, but mostly inspired goalkeeping from Sels saw them get the draw.
We had a very strong penalty shout, not given of course! Forest also got stuck into us, unfairly too often, but they were allowed to get away with it.
Still top. Still six points clear. Still with a game in hand. Ok, Arsenal might close it to four points, letās see, but I cannot see anybody who is better than us in this league.

On Forest getting stuck in, Macca isnāt a shrinking violet and gives as much if more than he gets, nothing in the game from either side was dangerous.

The story of the game is no matter how bad the first 30 mins were, we did enough to win the game. Their goalkeeper has an absolute blinder, and Kavanagh turns down a stonewall pen.
