Post match: Fulham v's Liverpool (PL Matchday 01 06/08/2022 12:30 : 2-2

So Henderson, Trent, Curtis and Elliot will all get a rest while Ingerland do their thing…

Realistically it is only the odd player here and there that will be tested with burnout/fatigue and even that is somewhat mitigated as it is in the middle of a season rather than at the end. An injury to VVD is probably the biggest concern but I’m not sure whether he would be a miss or not after the disastrous outing on Saturday…

Lovely! What a romantic!

He went down on him too easily

His experience from the Bundesliga winter breaks should come in handy.

Hope so! Really didn’t enjoy the league ‘chase’ last season as cheaty just were relentless and never felt we really could do it. Lower point totals allow much more ebb and flow and give us a real chance.

I think Palace will be a tough enough match, but at least we have an easy game the week after

I presume this is a tongue in cheek remark. If not, give yourself an upper cut!

Saving your post in the hope that I can revisit it to congratulate you on a successful jinx.

Have you seen us after our winter “camps” we usually look like we’ve spent it on the beer!!

Was it a foul though? I missed the incident when I watched the game live, but having seen it again, it looks as if Hendo goes to ground after a very slight and involuntary contact from a Fulham player.

If it was one, then fair enough, VAR should have intervened as the ref missed it. But I’m really not sure that this is worthy of a whistle to be honest. Does anyone have a video of this specific incident?

from what i understand … the challenge (which i think is a foul not intentional but it impedes) was 17 seconds before they scored. The VAR isn’t going back that far to check that.

not sure if you ll be able to view this or not. Its not got the video of the incident but gives an explanation. Ref Watch: Should Man Utd have conceded a penalty against Brighton? Scott McTominay lucky to escape red? | Football News | Sky Sports

Why are we concerned about penalties in United games? They’re a non-entity. Not on our radar. Just there for amusement purposes

People who watch other teams games, especially the likes of Utd are fucking weird.

Because of the obvious double-standards, that’s why.

I watch other team’s games. But not gonna get in a tizzy about the ref in United games, like I did back in the Howard Webb days

@WeeJoe IF you read the article in question then you would not need to ask me such questions.

As you clearly haven’t bothered then i shall tell you - it is an article with regards to refereeing decisions in the premier league last weekend.

It is also in regards to what @Hope.in.your.heart was discussing.

I brought a few beers to sit next to you on this park bench. I am feeling rather cynical myself right now. Feel free to share. :joy:
