Just four shots on goal despite nominally having over an hour of possession is pretty grim. They did not threaten much, but after the penalty they didn’t really need to. The heat map really shows how effectively they kept LFC at arm’s length.
The blob in the center of their 18 being essentially Ekiteke, 7 touches.

Admittedly, I didn’t see Frimpong play but I didn’t see Salah doing much either. In the last 15 mins our main threat on the right was Dom.

Fact is we’ve been fucking shit for 7 months and there came a time towards the end of last season when the jollies to Ibiza should have been knocked on the head and a bit of professional pride restored.
Then we bought 2 shit full-backs and a number 10 the manager doesn’t know what to do with. Add 2 CF’s who are going to get fuck all service in this system.
Oh, and there’s still 3 players in the squad the manager must fucking hate because he wont play them no matter how fucking bad anyone else is.
It’s been a shit show since February and Slot needs to sort it before questions start getting asked.

Konate was better than Saturday. He still played like an idiot and almost gifted them a goal. As did Jones, who was among the best. The amount of individual mistakes with or without pressure is staggering.
But this wasn’t down to individual players. Despite the mistakes, the effort was there. This is 100% on Slot and his staff. This isn’t a team. This is an assortment of talented footballers who aren’t doing anything correctly. They are not attacking as a team and they are not defending as a team. The fact that we broke the transfer record twice and the most effective way of advancing the ball was to have Van Dijk or even worse Konate lob the ball to Frimpong or Szoboszlai says it all. As does Slot again making the team worse with his subs. Wirtz disappeared once he moved to the left. As is the norm with anyone playing there these days. Right now, this Liverpool side is falling apart at the seams.
A last word on Frimpong: I’m not writing him off, but the more I see him, the more convinced I become that he isn’t a Liverpool-calibre player.

Think a lot of that is overly harsh, but agree that everytime Wirtz seems to have the game figured out and is playing well Arne takes him off or moves his position. Doing my head in

How VAR didn’t bother to send the ref to check the video replay I don’t know but it was not a penalty but when it was our turn suddenly he was scuttering to the video replay and rightly disallowed the penalty. I am also worried that we could not put to the sword this 2 bit and inferior team. We play like this against Chelski we will be in trouble. AS needs to take a decision about Konate as I think Gomez cannot do any worse.

I’m more talking long-term, though I suspect that Macca is going to be sold next summer for a huge fee.
We’ve been shit since February bar a couple of decent halves here and there.
We’ve been bailed out by touches of brilliance from Mo, Ali and one or two others.
Right now we are a fucking shambles and wont be top for much longer unless we improve massively.
