Post match: Inter v Liverpool (UCL 9/12/25 8pm)

He spent the entire time the game was on moaning about one thing or another.

Incredible the results that can be achieved when the whole XI work for each other.

Defensively sound, that has to be the foundation moving forward until we get some wingers in that can actually wing play.

Gave Konate one of my votes simply for not being instrumental in a goal for the opposition. Well done lads build on this.

Good solid performance and that stability will hopefully lead to better performances and interplay in the final 3rd.

'The club as a whole needed it’published at 22:17 GMT

FT: Inter Milan 0-1 Liverpool

Liverpool

Liverpool left-back Andy Robertson, speaking to Amazon Prime: "Huge result. We knew we were coming to a tough place, to a team that’s in a good moment. We had to show fight and dig in. The clean sheet was crucial and then we go and scored the goal.

"The handball for me, I think it took seven or eight minutes. If you do that, then you have to stick to the on-field decision. You have to stick to the decision. The penalty did look soft but that’s given anywhere else on the pitch.

"We all needed it. We know the results and performances aren’t good enough. It’s important this club is in the Champions League. It was a huge result for all of us.

On Salah’s situation: "A tough situation. We’re talking about one of the greatest players to play for this club. I signed in the same window as him. Whatever has happened, happened. Internally, we’re all together.

On Salah’s future: "That’ll be up to other people, it’s not up to me. I love playing with Mo Salah and I hope to continue playing with him.

“We know how important being in that top eight is and avoiding a play-off. We got unlucky last season with who we drew.”

Macca worked hard, but just missing that something on the ball, I also though Isak got more involved but nothing is working for him.

On the plus side… he won’t be pulling out of tackles or taking a breather in games like others might be tempted to do… being WC summer and all that…!
He just looks a natural athlete that could run for ever

Yep even me, just finished a 12 hour night shift with no breaks, so glad we won

On a more worrying note
…isak…

Lacklustre for the most part, looks a bit lost and lethargic most of the time.

How is he still not fit ( if that was it is ). Inability to play more than 60/70 mins

Slot just nailed it for me.

The energy it must have taken to deal with Mo’s statements…really not on that he put the entire club in that situation.

For another thread…

Great performance, straight out of the Liverpool European away game manual. Kept control, denied the opposition and scored the only goal. VAR is shite. It was a non penalty but our first goal should have stood. The final result was correct for the wrong reasons.
