Routine 2-0. Little bit disappointing that we couldn’t find the third and really kill it off. But it will do.

Positives - Gakpo and Isak another level.

Negatives - Wirtz has the body strength of an U11. Just gets bullied off the ball with ease.

Much better, performance from Isak in particular was night and day from his previous two.

Still a work in progress, but first win on the board for Iraola, hopefully first of many.

Very good first half, everything you want to see. Aggressive press, winning ball high, looking to get it forward quickly.

Then the 2nd half happened and nothing really happened, Ipswich came out sharp and pinned us in pretty well and that was the pattern of the 2nd half.

Got the win. Most important thing.

I thought Mac was decent defensively and Araujo. They didn´t create mmuch, Ipswich.

Great from Isak and Gakpo in the first half.

Wirtz is worrying me. He just looks so off the pace and away from sharpness. No zest or zip in his play and he´s barely involved. Say what you like about his lack of strength but in the middle of flast season he was beating people more and passing it around nicely and that is all gone right now. I know he was unlucky to get an assist ruled out for offside but even so. Looks a shadow of even what he was last season.

Feel dirty not voting for Cody, but went for Araujo and Jacquet because they gave a 90 minute performance, whereas Cody and Isak were non existant 2nd half, so had to pick Isak instead of Cody.

Great 1st half good defending 2nd half, just needed to control possession better in the 2nd half, which, for me should have see an early inclusion of Trey.

Overall 2 goals and more importantly no goals against.

Good performance. It has been a long time since we have won and played to a good standard and defended what was thrown at us properly.

A clean sheet. A ruddy clean sheet!

I’m interested to see how we get Barcola in on the left if that was promised to him with Gakpo in such good form from there.

FT: Ipswich 0-2 Liverpool

Liverpool have now won as many Premier League away games by two or goals this season (one) as they did in the whole of last season (a 2-0 win at West Ham in November 2025).

Fans chanting for Gakpo as he walked off. Good form. Glad he’s not gone tbh, he’s an important option for us.
Overall definitely improving and showing signs of emerging from slots slow play. Onwards and upwards keep the improvement comin!
