“This club, I always support it. My kids will always support it. I love the club so much, I will always do. I called my mum yesterday — you guys didn’t know if I would start or not, but I knew.

Keep your fucking trap shut then Mo.

We had this with the contract. He opens his mouth when he is the beneficiary.

Yeah, bit of a shit move from Mo tbh. But stuff like that was almost bound to happen in this situation.
Might be the right time now with that kind of stuff going onin public to hear something from other people responsible at the club. But nah, that’s a ridiculous idea.

He seems to think he is above any notions of form or fitness. He believes he should play irrespective of what that does to the rest of the team.

im so glad he is leaving for afcon after brighton game. it will take the sting out of this

He’s always has a massive ego. He’s also one of our greatest ever players. We’re witnessing the end now, for him or Slot or both. All just sad

Yep, you need a tight ship and tighter group of players to pull you out of this.

The only way we get away from the slump is through the players giving a shit and working for the collective of the team.

Arne’s tactics need looking at and improving, but the players can’t get off scot free.

He should be nowhere near the Brighton game. Not even on the bench.

It’s such a weird thing from Salah. Why come out with stuff like this? He’s only been benched for 3 games. It’s just bizarre, unless there’s more going on behind the scenes i.e. someone’s told him about offers from abroad, and we’ve not dismissed them straight away.

Why hasn’t he come out before as part of our leadership group and spoken about our garbage form?

sell him in january and turn the page…

There was an odd comment from Dom about what happens in the locker room stays there. It felt a bit odd but maybe that was an attempt to head this off…?

We all get old and father time catches up, that is why I was one who wanted to keep Mo but not on the wages he is on.

Hindsight is easy and I saying that I would have been wrong because I would have let him the previous season for a fee and we wouldn’t have won the title last year.

maybe… mo was like “fuck that, im gonna speak my truth”…

You’re a senior leader in this team. You haven’t been playing up to scratch. You’ve sat on the bench for three games.

What good do you think this will achieve? It’s incredibly selfish, as was the “more out than in” nonsense last year.

Essentially you’ve now pitted yourself against the manager. Some fans will side with you, others will be pretty pissed at this. You’re also now put the owners in a position deciding between their manager and the player they’re paying £400k a week to.

What this definitely won’t do is help the team. It’s utterly selfish.

It wouldn’t be the first time Mo has decided to speak to the media to get what he wants.

If anyone asks my who is greatest ever right winger, it will be a very long time until I say anything other than Mo Salah. But right now, at this point in time, he can fuck off. Sell him in January. Whatever is necessary.

i dont like what mo has done, but its equally troubling if he and slot are no longer speaking.

None of the players come out about the shite form its the same tired excuses. We know we must do better, we need to work harder.

Oh I know, and it’s probably all PR orchestrated, but it would’ve looked better if he’d included himself in the comments, rather than saying nothing for the last few months, then talking to the media about not having a relationship with Slot.

Fully agree. He’s created a massive issue for the entire club and we’ll now be the focus of negative talk all week.

Either senior players come out in support of him and Slot gets the bullet this week or Salah is gone in January. No other way this ends.

Offload him to Saudi asap and use whatever money we save on his wages to buy a right winger.
Hopefully a new manager will find a way for the new winger to feed Ekiteke.
