He played better than Mane has been playing recently :eyes:

Steady on!

Mané still has 2 goals from 4 league games to show for it though…

Origi to score a hat-trick next game to prove me wrong?

Not sure if I’m the only one, but I kept feeling that he and Jota seemed to get in the way of each other, and didn’t really mesh well together at the start.

Jordan was slaughtered quite regularly after a lot of his performances…
He eventually stood his corner and asked to be played in his natural position, the rest is history…
What needs to be remembered with Divock… every game or appearance, he is asked to play in a position that is not his strongest… yet he is criticised because of it!
Work ethic is a different story, but take Erling Haaland out of Borussia Dortmund and replace him with Origi… His goals per game may be very similar.
He is a confidence player… He will never gain that by being asked to play on the left wing.!

Remember when we used to play heskey as a left winger.

To be fair, he said “may”. Jeremy Corbyn may yet be prime minister after all…

That’s the great big hope we all have every season. It hasn’t worked out that way up to now but if we don’t sign another forward early in the next transfer window then we are really, really going to need Divock to contribute a lot more than he has done recently.
I don’t hold out much hope to be honest. Jurgen doesn’t seem to fancy him at all. There have been games where we have been down to the bones and he still doesn’t get a look in. Hope I’m wrong.

To be fair I’m not sure there are many professional footballers who can sit out 12 games then come in for 60 mins and are expected to make a massive impact before being rested for the next 10 games.

Rinse repeat.

If the guy is happy with his bit part and Klopp is happy with him then fair enough.

If it was me I’d probably want to go and play somewhere week in week out

Mane would have 3 goals from those games if not for an action on the goal line that resulted in a red card…

spot on, this

I’m playing my first match tomorrow in 9 months, and barely been able to make it to training this summer. am hoping just to make it out alive tomorrow, without any injuries.

The consecutive games he was scoring before that Everton scumbag ended his season for all intents and purposes. I reckon we win the EL final with him fit and firing. He came back bit too rusty after that horrendous tackle

howd you go?

We’ve not heard from him for a while, so my guess is the hospital has shit wifi

We were dominating the match at 55min (up 1-0) when it was called by lightning. got 30min of a run-out, didn’t hurt anything. decent enough start to the season but we’ll have to replay the match.

LOL. just a busy weekend. spent all Sunday salmon fishing in the boat, phone was off.

not moving too badly today, hips are a bit sore but I’ve found that even the best turf pitch isn’t as forgiving as grass on the body.
