That’s where I mention, Origi has just played one game. Judging them on one game isn’t fair to the other two. One game cannot be constituted to conclude on their forms. And Jota is in my opinion one of our in-form players.

@AnfieldRdDreamer should be our go to man for that negotiation :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Huh? He smashed it down the middle as he does with most of his penalties. Having scored 17 in a row I don’t think we need to be concerned

Ye… only problem with that is that if they spend the 30-50 million it will take to get that person and it doesn’t work out we’re up the creek without a paddle.

I’d prefer it to be a proven striker who comes in and hits the ground running

Honestly I wouldn’t swap him for either. Age is the only factor I guess

I’m never that confident when Mo is taking a pen but fair play to him he scores most of them. I would have Fabinho on pen duty.

I wouldn’t swap him, but if he decides he wants to go to Real Madrid or PSG for 500k per week or whatever we are going to struggle to stop him.

If that happens then Mbappe or Haaland are the only ready made replacements who can come in and replace the 20-30 goals Mo offers.

Yes we could gamble on an unknown from some far flung part of the world but Mo is the exception with that, not the rule - I always thought he’d be decent for us but I don’t think anybody truly thought when we were linked with him that he would come in and be as world class as he has been.

When Mo came in we were challenging for top 4 and had to take that gamble. We can’t afford that if Mo does leave, we need a proven replacement

Mane yes but Jota’s best vs Div’s best? At the top of his game Divock is a fantastic player.

I was talking about last night.

He’s irreplaceable. Whereas Bobby and Mané seem to have already peaked , Mo is just getting better and better. Hearing that he has signed a new contract would be the best news for all Liverpool fans.

You said Mane and Jota are way better than Div. Well last night Div was better than both.

Yeah can’t argue with any of that. Though there are surely other strikers out there that could potentially reach his level apart from those two. Consider the number of chances we are currently creating and the record of Klopp in getting the best out of players

You must have seen a peak from Div that I’ve completely missed.

It’s measured in microseconds…

Gomez played better than a guy who hasn’t played a competitive match in almost a year. Did well for the most part but looked rusty at others. Bit flat footed for the first goal when they moved it side to side quickly.

Thought Origi had his best game in a long time but he does not look live scoring, would love to see him get another run at the weekend and get on the score sheet. Maybe a run of games will help him.

I think that’s a recurrent idea with all our players. We want them to find form and get a run in the team. Trouble is that at his best, Origi’s level is not LFC starting 11 consistently. Yes he’s scored some utterly legendary goals but equally that volley he had last night made me look talented. I’m a 40 something fat bloke.

I wasn’t impressed by Milan. Maybe they played poorly but they looked like a bottom half PL side.
