That was just what I hoped for today, a win and a decent performance. Although, several players did seem to run out of steam, in the last 15 minutes. A good performance from Salah also and he was actually smiling!! Well done lads.

We look more solid, it’s what many of us have been asking for along time but now injury has forced slots hand and things are better, we still gave up a few chances and they had 50% possession at Anfield, Gomez injury was a downer and scares for Dom and Hugo.

Nope I saw what Curtis did in the youth teams and even though from a different position he ran games.
Just took his time to decide I can now do this at this level, he has shown glimmers of it, but since the Frankfurt game he has stepped up, just gotta stay injury free.

Strange game today. Brighton cut through us easily at times and on another day would have scored 3 or 4. But we could, and should, have scored 6 or 7.

That was more like it on the whole. Some lovely quick passing and movement. Ekitike excellent, Wirtz looking class on and off the ball, riding challenges and shielding off denders, Jones bossing the midfield and a big shout out to Kerkez who had his best game for us so far - the passion this guy plays with is infectious. Even celebrated getting his body in front of Minteh, blocking his path for the ball to roll to Ali (who was also imperious today). Seems like being benched sparked a fire under Mo as we’d hoped. Despite being very wasteful at the end it was a good overall performance from him, always looking lively. I’d been asking to see him up top and not hugging the touchline so it’s nice to see Slot mixing things up and playing to his strengths. I actually think all our forwards are better suited to a 2 up top, even Gakpo. Most importantly though another clean sheet!!! Onwards and upwards.
