Well he wasn’t kicking them in the shins.

Has something pinged in Jones’s head…now becoming the player we all wanted him to be…excellent again today.

And Wirtz…and ekitike

The fascinating thing about Jones is that despite his reputation for someone who takes too long on the ball, the thing he has really offered this side, going back to probably the Arsenal game, is he gets the ball moving. We play with a much more difficult to manage tempo when he’s playing and seeing a lot of the ball.

Are you fucking suggesting benching Mascot? Look out for the interview soon then…

I have been thrown under a bus. If I speak there will be fire.

Never go into room B, they always give rectal exams in B, even if you stubbed your toe.

i wonder if its becuase he had a great battle on his hands all match with Minteh…maybe hes that kind of player that needs to react to a game rather than make a game happen…if you know what i mean.

He is the ā€˜they’

Just as long as your fans aren’t sending me abuse and threats via Facebook Messenger for disagreeing with them I’ll be ok with that…

I thought we were a lot better in the second half. While we were OK in the first, there were stretches of the game were Brighton were in control and were cutting through our defence too easily.

We were better in the second as we played with more pace. I thought we were very pedestrian in the first. If we’d been playing a team with better forwards then we’d have have conceded a couple today.

Good to see Mo passing the ball to teammates rather just blasting it at the first defender.

Timezone chat alert!

What time was the game on in your part of the world Legs?
It was in the middle of the night here.

Well that was another interesting Brighton game. The sort of match where we are happy if we get the result but livid if Brighton had taken 1 or 2 of their chances and taken points off us.

Certainly, they had opportunities to level the scores when we were only 1 up and failed on all occasions. I’ll take the result and run. We are looking better in attack, but we are still getting butchered by that 2nd and 3rd opposition man up in those counter/semi-counter attacks when our CB’s have to slide out of position because our lack of numbers. Still a lot of work to do to get those defensive frailties sorted but its heading in the right direction, even if we got away with it today.

Jones my motm. Just fantastic, even before his semi-cockiness (that’s not a pretty choice of words) from the 80th minute. Hugo and Wirtz also both fantastic.

It kicked off at midnight. I think I did very well to get to the end of it following on from a hike in mountains followed by an Indian meal and several beers and other alcoholic beverages.

That sounds like a perfect day :slightly_smiling_face:

Why do we have fewer players GK? Maybe something for the coaching boffins to consider?
