Post match: Liverpool v Chelsea (EPL 4/3/21 8.15pm)

I’m a glass full kinda guy, but I don’t see it. This was the chance. Close in, or fall behind. Alas, it was fall behind time. Never coming back from that, too many rivals to beat to make it, it’s just not something that we can expect to have a chance to do.
Fight every game and see where it will bring us, yes, by all means. But it will just not happen.

On the positive, other than missing out on CL next season (major bummer on many levels), it’s much similar in a lot of ways to City, who were suffering last year trophyless, albeit still miles ahead from everyone but us, and same kind of talk in the media and football fans about Pep leaving etc., but they regrouped and despite a really bad start they found their way and are running away with it.

So the message is do whatever is possible this season, and keep calm, regroup, even celebrate last year’s trophy when it’s possible, and then have good summer tranfer-wise and pre-season wise, and just come back strong and challenge for everything again!

But most importantly, let’s never forget what this special team did, what we experienced as Liverpool fans these past few years, and live everything with them. They will always be my heroes and I hope I manage to see this team live before its era is over.

@Flobs i take it your post is an attempt to mask your usual criticism of Gini.
I find your continuous slander of him pathetic, he was our best player tonight and in my opinion our most consistent throughout the season. Just give up will you

Our corners is another area that has dropped completely, we did at least send in a decent one for Fabinho, Origi last time I saw him ran away from the ball.

Probably the first time I’ve watched Liverpool under Klopp and I truly couldn’t make out what they were trying to do…

The possession made zero sense; same with the pressing…even the subs…

One thing that really annoyed me tonight was the fact that on going backwards they seemed to run into Chelsea attacking players and then lose the ball, in fact they didn’t seem to lose the ball half as much going forward.

I’m taking comfort in the fact I haven’t been watching a Liverpool team for most of the season. Hopefully next season we’ll see a fully functioning side.

Some on here would do well to do the same instead of throwing words like ‘shameful’ and ‘embarrassing’ about.

I’m retired but I’m seriously thinking about a job on match days… :joy:

Is that Salah agent full stop tweet real?

If so let’s just fuck him off. All we need now is agents wading in.

Let’s see who wants to pay 200m for him.

Put a full stop on that y’a cunt

There is no plan B. We are playing the high defending line and that is it, will not change until the summer.

We need to try something different and adapt to our injury situation.
Stop with the high line would be a start.

Yup it’s hardly helping our attacking.

Perhaps the opponents don’t know that.

Stop losing fucking 5 home games in a row would be pretty near the top of the list.

So fuckjng poor we’ve become.

Honestly relegation form this

If you want a job for before match days, you could take over starting the match threads.

Seeing that both @GermanRed and @Iftikhar are useless. :joy:

Just watching Klopp’s interview. Still love the man. So gracious

Only Mourinho and Pardew actively want to get the sack, if Klopp didn’t want to do it he would quit.

He is evidently seeing something at training we are not, but he looks about as lost as us during the match.
