Post match: Liverpool v Chelsea (EPL 9/5/26 12.30pm)

Don’t take my word for it. Just google it: is mental sharpness a aprt of mental health?

Unbelievable!

Lack of sharpness isnt a mental health issue, in the definition of such issues.
Once again, quit now as you really are embarrassing yourself.

  1. See above
  2. Really? It’s very widely attributed to him?

@Hope.in.your.heart said he wasnt watching us again this season, not that he would no longer be supporting the club.

Misattributed - although it does feel like something he would say.

I’ve tried ignoring your posts but you’re getting well beyond the line of nonsense now.

First of all a mid-season break is fine, having multi day breaks mid-week all the time so the manager can go to his own country and see the family is a completely different scenario.

How much work do you think clubs actually do on the training ground? Because the way you’re goin on about it it would seem that you think thast clubs do a little work pre-season and then allow the players free reign to wander around for the rest of the season because, apparently, training doesn’t have much impact on fitness or team organisation on the pitch.

Seriously?

I’ll give you that one. Talking to you does seem to quite pointless for all the other posters.

Whether Shankly didnt even ever say this, that is fair enough! - Because it then falsely misquotes the genius from the starting foundation.

But, the actual statement when you read it word for word out loud, should still be true for whatever football club you choose to support in life.

The boos at Anfield against Chelsea for a draw, backs this up, whoever said it, or felt it’s always about support regardless of result/performance, they were on the right track.

It goes to show how far it’s gone this season, probably means ownership invention at the management/coaching level maybe around mid/late June?

The question that really needs answering though, is not who’s gonna sign the online petition? But, which fan with more money than sense is gonna book the airplane with banner flying over Anfield for Salah’s and Slot’s final match at the best club in the world :man_shrugging:

We are having a crap time of it as a football club. As fans I hope we can bear with one another through this!

My hope is that FSG can see what needs to be done and will act accordingly. My own sense is that it is imminent, perhaps after Villa if we get what we need for CL.

“But there’s not a lot of point falling out over it,” as the great Shanks once said

None of this is based on the fact except your imagination

Ja ja, off on your “I’m better than you journeys again” and been so for a while now. Fuck knows where you think you’ve gotten the inner track, the flat wicket or the direct line to ascendency aside but in your imagination. Do us all a favour and go forth and procreate with thyself wildly, enthusiastically and for as long as you deem necessary to feel sated.

If anyone questions my choice of request to the poster quoted, please do bear in mind that should such drivel be openly espoused in a real pub and not this virtual pub of our choice, he’d likely be thrown out by now for winding up the patrons or, if that had not yet been the case, thrown out none too gently on behalf of the establishment by said patrons.

Your ad hominem attack doesn’t change the facts. You shouldn’t simply make stuff up…
You are a prime example of what Tomkins was referring to

Didn’t make anything up and if I’m anything that Mr Tomkins finds vaguely irritating to his pompous self then I’m actually quite satisfied with that. Come to think of it, you’re quite far up your own arse as well. Quite the contortionist.

Lack of MENTAL sharpness is a mental health issue.

There is no reporting anywhere of Slot regularly jetting off to Holland to be with his family and giving players breaks. Not a single report validates that false claim.

As in declining cognition or capacity. Not in the sense of footballers lacking sharpness in thinking. It may be a wellbeing issue, but not in terms of understanding mental health issues. I don’t know why you are persisting in this, as your argument is innacurate

You’re proving nothing.

Yet, its a claim. And one you cannot disprove.

Heres a question for you…
Was Lucas Levia in the same mould as Clodoaldo?

A claim with zero supporting evidence, and thus false.
You are probably one of those MAGA folks…
