Not sure we have many options left. Out of those who made their professional debuts before this season, we only have (at best) Endo, Mac Allister, and Elliott in midfield, one of whom could be a doubt. Definitely one of Clark or McConnell at least will have to start, but Iām not sure if they can even last the whole 90.
Danns ought to see more time, Iām wondering if Gordon will start too.

Wonderful thread
"We had problems before before the game, injuries, we had a referee who wasnāt up to the level of the game - no common sense againā¦Klopp
Doesnāt look like we do, indeedā¦
From the three midfielders you mentioned only Harvey looks like being an option for starting (not equally sure about finishing) the game.
Looks like Clark and McConnell will have to join him. And if Gakpo can start, Danns and one of either youngsters that were on the bench today will probably join them.
I expect Bradley on the right, Tsimi on the left and Quansah-Gomez in CB. Kelleher starting.
That would be pretty much itā¦
Unless we end Carvalhoās loan, which would be a win-win.
Ban in comingā¦
p.s. to clarify - for Klopp I mean - it is the way things role it seems
That really narrows it down.
Hope you had a fantastic day, mate!
He got kicked quite nastily by you know who you guessed it Caicedo the prick
I think he might be ok, the hobbling after the match suggests itās not massively serious but I guess we will see.

edit
Klopp jokes: āDarwin and Dom are not fit, thatās why they didnāt play, but in the celebrations they looked 100% so I will have to speak with the medical department about that.ā
Watching the highlights back on ITV, Colwill another dirty cunt lucky not to have been booked for assaulting Mac.
Yep Caicedo on Mac clear yellow straight after then shouldāve gone for the ankle breaker on Grav. Fucking shit ref.
Well I just do not know what to say ā¦ amazing from the boys. Cannot be more proud of them. A truly deserved trophy. Kloppo showed immense trust in the academy lads and they delivered by bringing home the cup, no less.
Virgil stepped up like true captain and delivered when it mattered most.
Well done all. If I have to single anyone out, I would mention Endo, who bossed the midfield for full 120ā. And Diaz, who looked like our biggest attacking threat the whole match (okay, at least until the Danns lad came on ). And Kelleher was simply unbeatable.
Oh, and something else: FUCK OFF CHRIS KAVANAGH!!!
So beautiful. Made my eyes wet, and maybe a cheek as wellā¦
The Caicedo challenge gets worse every time you see it. I did wonder during the game if the emotions of the game were clouding my judgement but nope. I can 100% say in the coming weeks someone will receive a red for an identical ātackleā and VAR wonāt disagree.
I think part of the problem is there are plenty every week that also dont get punished and so the authorities point to those as justification for this one. But that just means there are plenty of bad ones, not that this was fine. But Dale Johnson is with a straight face telling me it wasnt a red because it didnāt endanger the safety of an opponent, an argument that just renders words absolutely meaningless. He is injured. He likely wont play for 2 months. His safety was not just endangered but affirmatively violated. It was a direct result of the foul and was a predictable outcome of it.
We have ourselves in a situation where the refs are given criteria for what constitutes endangering a player. They apply that, correctly IMO, in situation where the fouled player is able to walk it off. Because thatās what you have to do if you want to eradicate dangerous challenges from the game. But weāre now in a position where refs wont apply it even when a guy is being carried off on a stretcher because according to them, he wasnt endangered. Like he kicked himself
Hope Ryan will be okay
Iād like to say piece of pissā¦but it was far from it.
Will say āmentality monstersā though!
What a job,a lot of kids, all showed up,Kelleher showing what many believed, he is a class act, and Endo, maybe Duracell Bunny Mk2.With injuries this looked to be a task, it was, but not beyond our lads.
Wouldnāt be fair to some to pick MOTM,so Iāll content myself by saying it was a great team performance ,as it surely was.
Special mention to Kavanagh, what a complete arsehole and a disgrace to many who have reffed fairly over the years.
