I don’t understand this at all.

Surely they should be rooting for Tarkowski to be as effective tomorrow?

I detest the death threats. Predictable scum showing their low grade behaviour with the anonymity of social media.

But that said , we’ve seen clubs use this as an effort to get behind the concerned player as well. Clearly what Everton are doing. Show a unified backing of the player but also let him know behind closed doors if need be that those tackles have no place in the game.

That could easily have been a potential Funes Mori-Origi tackle. The behaviour of the player after that tackle made me realise that there’s something off about Everton’s management.

Tarkowski and Prickford have made the apology. The opposing team players have accepted that. Time for the fans to move on.

This is what can happen when refs repeatedly don’t do their job. Not condoning it in the slightest but this sort of egregious error, time after time, could potentially make some people snap. And this is with the history of what happened to VVD and Thiago.

Yup bad challenges will happen football is part of them but when they go unpunished then

I hope this tackle proves to be some sort of watershed moment for removing this type of shithouse tackling…

Leave his wife alone. She’s quite the hottie.

Terrible behavior (@COG autocorrect took the ‘u’ out there of its own accord).

No place for it whatsoever.

I’m going to try a thought out, with some risk that it will be misunderstood or not expressed well. But, with the advent of social media it gives dickheads the chance to anonymously make a threat - almost certainly the threat has no credibility, and almost certainly is just an expression of anger in the moment, over a bad tackle - but unfortunately once it’s out there, it’s out there.

So now it becomes a thing, and Everton get to do their statement, and look all statesmanlike in condemning the bad behavior and so on.

So yes, there is no place for this stuff, but I also think a sense of perspective might be missing as to what constitutes a proper threat.

I’m pretty sure that a lot of “threats” are concocted by bots and trolls to create content. Obviously, the victim of those threats has no way of determining which carries any credence.

There definitely are dickheads with no sense of perspective. Just look at the signs popping up against Trent. I wouldn’t blame him if he did want to go now.

Yes, I’m sure that’s exactly what Moyes and the powers-that-be at Everton will be doing.
It’s good to know we wont be seeing any of their yard-dogs deliberately injuring our players in future.

How did he tackle her (pun)?

That tackle has brought about an awful lot of wide ranging bad publicity, that might not go down too well with their new owners…

The bad publicity was mainly about the lack of decision to send him off. His apology at full time to MacAllister softens his culpability in some respects. Which is why Macca should have told him to fuck off and walked away. When Gary Stevens broke Jim Beglins leg years ago, Hansen addressed it post match. Nowadays its all super refined responses with a scripted reply to interviews.
Someone (Virgil?) should have said that Tarkowski is a reckless scumbag who will be sorted at some stage.

The new owners will have enough to manage re new stadium etc rather than worrying about yard dog tactics. Moyes job is to keep them up next season and then a new manager will guide them back to the pinnacle of football in their new home.

For clarity…
I’m not from the City.
But I hope the cunts are relegated next season. And playing to ten thousand fans in their shit smelling stadium.

The tackle was early doors, so early as to giving the ref the out of letting it go, as a red would ruin the game. The usual nonsense. As with Pickford on Virgil, I actually think the Pulis “let them have it early” mantra is employed by the likes of Moyes. Its a derby, thunder and brimstone and get your assaults in early.
The lack of red card on Wednesday allowed Pickfords later assault. In the same vein as the assault on Thiago years ago.

There are two parallel processes here…
One, I would posit the view that Everton are under instructions to clatter our players nice and early.
Two, Tierney on VAR is the ideal arbitrator to try those tactics with. Because he was NEVER changing the onfield decision.

PS

I think a mangy enforcer on the bench is a good idea. 90th minute bring him on, “hello Mr Tarskowski”…take the fine and suspension.

You’re being too generous.
Give them a thousand or two.
The odour will keep the vast majority away.
Only those with no sense, including the olfactory kind will faithfully keep going.

You might be onto something with Moyes. Remember the disgusting assault on Henderson by Cresswell? 6 minutes in, not even booked.

Yep…
Lets be honest, if your opponent is better than you, and you have carte blanche (Tierney) to behave like a thug? Then you behave like a thug.
