Holgate apparently accused Mane of ‘gouging’ his face. The FA have reviewed the incident and stated that Mane has no case to answer. This is the second occasion Holgate has made a false allegation against a Liverpool player. Isn’t it about time further action was taken against him?

It’s an exercise in excuses and deflection. It’s shit like this that shows exactly why they are in the mess they are in.
If they want to create a hard luck narrative as they go down, then good luck to them. Everyone knows they have no-one to blame but themselves. For the money they’ve spent they shouldn’t be anywhere near the drop. They’ve left themselves in the position where a bit of bad luck could be fatal, and that is their own fault.

It wasn’t reviewed because the ref deemed it not a penalty…the view from a camera directly in front of the 2 players shows 50/50 tustle and bustle…50/50 means no advantage to anyone but no disadvantage…don’t these duck eggs understand 50/50…you didn’t get a pen neither did we…ffs try and put your wingeing energy into your next game…

Just watched the Palace Leeds match, and Gallagher, as good as he’s been this season, dove more than Gordon yesterday. I swear, where do these lads pick this shit up from? Watching too much La Liga in their formative years? Maybe they’re mates, and have a running bet on who can dive better/more? To Gallagher’s credit, he did jump up quickly from a couple, and never rolled around in (faux) agonizing pain. Still, the little wanker spent more time on the ground than grass.

If 97/100 refs would give a pen, but this one didn’t, then by all means, make an official complaint.
But when it’s a purely subjective decision, with ever so slight ambiguous contact, and only 5% of refs would give it (seen them given, type of situation), then making an official questioning smacks of deluded desperation. Add in the higher bar this season where refs have been told contact does not automatically mean foul, then I can’t see where Everton are coming form.

The fool really is deluded. Mo is the worst example he could choose - all that stats point to ALL the Prem refs having a bias against Mo (see the amount of fouls he wins - it’s an extreme outlier in the wtf direction).
And of course, the media stay silent on this issue - they’re the ones who perpetuate the idea that Mo is a diver. Kick racism out of football? The media need to take a look at themselves in the mirror.
