I have to admit that after the Burnley win today my first reaction to the prospect of Everton’s relegation ( after a few moments of glee ) was sadness. Like all scousers I have friends and rellies who are blues and in the main they are decent types more to be pitied for their misfortune of being born blue.
But after today’s shithousery I will be delighted if they drop all the way to the Liverpool Sunday League

Opposite the Bramley Moore dock, where Everton hope to move to in three years. It’ll be an early welcome gift.

How about smack in the middle of where their pitch is when they pull that rats nest down?

The only time that was likely was when our leaders brought in Roy… What were they thinking?!!
They put a cart horse mentality with a thoroughbred team…but to their credit they fixed it with Brendon and then absolutely nailed it with Juergen. They deserve our eternal thanks for bringing that man in as our manager. He is quite simply the best…

Suppose he meant in the context of the match, but yeah sounds a bit petty for a supposed impartial commentator.

Delighted with the win. Just finished a recording of the match.

Everton were spoilers, time wasting, cynical, leaving a bit in there, Richarlison going down feigning injury, Gordon diving too. Both big nosed bastards.

We played a bit too slowly in the first half, mostly in front of them, and even with Thiago and Keita we couldn’t open it up much.

Subs changed it. Diaz, what a touch! And Origi, gave us a physical presence, and he linked it up well and got his goal.

I voted Robbo, Diaz and Origi.

Alisson with the flop at the end too. Love it!

Everton don’t deserve any good will, not even on a support the city level. They are toxic. Bitter fan base. Horrible team. I want them to be relegated, and then to have financial troubles that all but sink them. They don’t deserve any more than that.

You’d be embarrassed if you were a bitter (and not just because you support Everton) 33 passes completed over 90mins is just disgusting.

Anthony Gordon had a weird game. He was a pain in the arse all match - using his pace to sprint free multiple times, going down at the slightest touch, kicking the ball away at every set piece etc. He did everything right to be the centre of attention and yet when he actually had the ball he was absolutely fucking awful.

I can see how the commentators thought he was man of the match but only on a team that had no real desire to win a game.

I’d say right in front of Pickford

Not a chance. Gordon flicked a leg in front of Matip and then went down like a sack of spuds. Matip makes absolutely no attempt at a tackle. The only person who gets that pen is Harry Kane

I’m looking forward to Everton signing Origi when he’s 34 and him playing 14 games across two seasons, 0 goals, 0 assists on £200k a week.

I’m alright with that - Trent was nowhere near the ball, and Gordon can argue his leap is to avoid the contact.

Bit harsh I think. He really had no support. He is a good prospect but needs to move on.

The lad is only 21…and a scouser … so definitely gets some slack from me.

It was the theatrics after though. He was rolling around like Trent had broke his leg. If the ref gets to look at that again on var then surely it has to be a second yellow for simulation , after already booking him once for the same thing.

Yeah was a clear yellow for Trent, but no need for Gordon to roll around for 10mins when he hadn’t been touched
