Post Match: Liverpool v Forest (EPL 29/8/26 12.30pm)

Enough to override the offside?

Once again, just not good enough.
Allison at fault (ignoring officials skullduggery)for both goals, then pulls off a worldie, very Jekyll & Hyde performance.
Not a bead of sweat on Isaaks brow.
Frimpong & Kerkez are a massive downgrade.
City & Spurs have probably just deleted Gakpo from their list after seeing his crossing ability, and he wasn’t even the worst.
Early days, but I wont be getting emotionally invested in any ideas of winning the league with this lot.

Things could be worse, and things will get better.

Really liked Munoz. The lad’s a trier. Unlike some of our more established players. JJ was really impressive too.
No need to be overly critical as it’s a work in progress. I’m sure things will get better.

The one he put on a plate for Isak was alright.

Enough to reset the play and yes override the offsides

For me Frimpong could be offside for Wirtz´s goal but then so should their goalscorer who I think was offiside initially and benefitted from being there, despite scoring in the next phase or whatever wanky phrase they use nowadays

Interesting that the commentators said it was a foul throw on their 2nd, should have been brought back and a throw in to us.

Poor from VAR

Serious question here…are the officials ever shown the mistakes they have made…coz this shower of shit fucked our game up well n truly…

2nd half was better (it needed to be), but overall it wasn’t good enough (again) to walk away with the 3 points.

Fullbacks were horrible in possession and the midfield were hopeless.

Poor??? You mean corrupt, surely. This was Oliver on VAR.

Araujo made a difference. Nice to see a powerful CB overpowering opponents.
Dom better than Frimpong at RB which is good cos he’s shit in midfield

The penalty is bollocks really. There is absolutely no impediment to Delap doing exactly what he wants with the ball, and it’s about twenty yards away when he collided with Allison.

Yes, we could have lost to Hull last weekend

And the one to Wirtz that Sels tipped over the bar.
And the one Munoz fired over
And the cutback to that Szobo fluffed

At least we had that fight until the last minute which evaporated last season.

But it’s poor to keep conceding the lead. Both midfield and right back positions under scrutiny.
