Sorry lads. That one’s on me. Both my kids won their games and scored. Convention dictates it’s Liverpool or my boys. Can never be both.

Two big mistakes in the back in 1hf. Not troubled much even when a man down.
Key was the Robbo mistakes

I thrive on negativity.

Get yourself to the Caf.

We’re not all that, apparently.

'We felt like the referee was nervous’published at 17:10 Greenwich Mean Time

17:10 GMT

FT: Liverpool 2-2 Fulham

Liverpool

Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk speaking to Sky Sports: "A great comeback is very positive. It’s disappointing having 10 men but we showed fight, kept trying to create chances. Could have been more but we take the point and move on.

"Stay calm. It’s easier to say than do it. It was always going to be tough against them. We saw it last year and last week against Arsenal. We had to turn it around and keep fighting. We tried.

"I had conversations with the players of Fulham and we felt like the referee was nervous. He couldn’t properly communicate with Robertson I felt. We can’t put the blame on the referee. We all speak about protecting the referee but I couldn’t speak to him. It shouldn’t be a big thing because he isn’t why we dropped points.

“It is what it is. We take the points, recover quickly and be ready for the game on Wednesday.”

Moaners can fuck off. That was an incredible effort, and a week off for the big boys before we go again.

I keep the positives today.

  1. I was concerned with our intensity, which is a concern carried from two previous games (Newcastle and Girona), and to see in the second half that we can still come out with 10 men, and give it all was very encouraging.

  2. Seeing great cameos by Jota and Harvey was very encouraging.

  3. Arsenal failed to capitalize, and hopefully Chelsea and City will too…

MOTM Gravenberch, Gravenberch and Gravenberch in all the positions he had to cover today.

Trent was worse for the first goal than Robbo, at least Robbo is back there trying to defend and get his body in the way. It’s unacceptable, no other way to dress it up.

Apart from Trent, Robbo, Quansah and Darwin all the others had a good or very good performance considering the early red card.

Rather mixed feelings as it’s disappointing to drop points, but on a day when anything that could fi wrong, did go wrong, we fought back and salvaged something.

Grav MotM for me, because he showed that he can do whatever is asked from him with style.

I remember the City losses around Christmas during 18-19 to Leicester away and Palace at home. Obviously you never want to drop points, but I’ll take one or two of these freak games to keep us honest if it means we go on a tear in between.

It should have been 10 v 9. Corrupt bastards.

By Clone Trooper standards…

You have to wonder about the RC, given the direction the ball was going and the position of VVD.

Not the most decisive refereeing performance I’ve seen.
