You are largely correct, but that quirk about downgrading to a yellow is for when a different player scores after a DOGSO foul. In the Villa example Bailey should have still got a yellow even though Nunez scored. The fact he didnt is how we know the ref didnt think it was a foul.

In this case the ref is allowed to see if Jimenez can score. If he does the goal is given and Robbo gets downgraded to a yellow. If he doesnt we come back for the free kick and Robbo gets a red.

As @RedWhippet says though, I’m pretty sure he blew up immediately given Jimenez was really angry

I don’t want to be too cynical, but if Robertson wasn’t already on a yellow, then I wonder how much of it was because he just wanted to give that red.

The Cynnie equivalent of Carra telling Neville “no one wants to grow up being a Gary Neville”?

It’s actually an offshoot of that. I believe the I still exists as a paper the Independent is now only online.

The I was started as a more metro like competitor for younger people who read less.

It wasn’t the worst thing when it started as it was far more detailed than the Metro but it’s gone crap.*

*Sorry nerd who did some of his degree in this area… was politics by the way.
