@SixpenceNun has posted our goals at the top of this thread. Saves time.
Havenât seen this game yet, but from everything being said it ainât too bad coming from behind twice playing with 10 men for all but 15 minutes of the game.
It may be that Robboâs left leg has soaked up too much punishment, though and the pile up of games wont help.We certainly need another LB,in this upcoming window would be nice.
Grav.continues to be a more than useful player, pleased he has stepped up this year.
Great performance against 12 men. I really hope all of Fulhamâs injured players are available for their next match.
On the plus side Gravenberch is fucking sensational wherever he plays, Jota looked like he hadnât missed a minute and Elliott looked really good too. Gomez also put in another great performance.
On the downside Robbo got caught out again in much the same way he did against Madrid and the least said about Trent the better, the bloke is a complete fucking liability defensively.
At least we lost no ground on Arsenal but I doubt Chelsea will drop points tomorrow so a win at Spurs next week is essential now.
According to ipaper (whatever that is) and anyone who watched the match.
Iâm not. One can be âsatisfiedâ with a point given the uphill climb we created for ourselves so early on, but happy? No.
Weâre Liverpool. Theyâre Fulham. Itâs Anfield. Anything other than 3 points is not good enough. There were more poor performances out there than not. When will we learn we canât continue these pathetic slow starts?
Interesting watching MOTD Lineker has the same thoughts as me on the red card, that Wilsonâs touch was too heavy and it wasnât an obvious goal scoring opportunity as he was moving across and Virg may have got their before Wilson
Unironically, yes?
Itâs a team game, and he was bailed out for his own mistake literally a couple of games ago.
Easy target.
Anyone explain how you can be sent off for denying a clear goalscoring chance when the ref plays an advantage because the foul resulted in an even clearer goalscoring chance?
Surely the advantage is the chance and not dependent on whether they score it?
Each week we as fans are getting a better assessment of Arne. Glad to say, IMO, this guy is no mugâŠ!.

Liverpool may have dropped points against Fulham - but the performance given by Arne Slotâs 10 men only served to reiterate their title credentials.
Twice the Premier League leaders fell behind following Andy Robertsonâs 17th-minute red card, and on both occasions they found an answer despite their numerical deficit at Anfield.
Liverpool played 89 minutes with 10 players, including stoppage-time, but an 86th-minute equaliser by the returning Diogo Jota earned reward for their impressive efforts in an enthralling encounter.
Perhaps the biggest compliment on Saturday was offered by Fulhamâs Antonee Robinson.
âCredit to them, it didnât feel like they had 10 men at all,â the left-back said.
âThey took a lot of risks pushing men high and they were rewarded for it. They piled the pressure on and were really positive.â
Not only did Liverpool battle to a point despite the circumstances, but title rivals Arsenal failed to capitalise as they were held to a goalless draw by Everton.
It meant the Reds, who saw their advantage cut after last weekendâs Merseyside derby was postponed because of severe weather, extended their lead to five points before nearest challengers Chelsea host Brentford on Sunday (19:00 GMT).
âLiverpool were phenomenal. They went down to 10 men and didnât feel sorry for themselves,â former Premier League striker Chris Sutton told BBC Radio 5 Live.
âIt was a brilliant game. I thought Liverpool were phenomenal in the face of adversity.â
Liverpool have won 19 and lost just one of 23 games since Dutchman Slot replaced Jurgen Klopp in the summer, and they also sit top of the Champions League table with a perfect record in that competition.
With 10 men, against a Fulham side enjoying the clubâs best start to a Premier League season since 2003, the Reds still ended the match with more than 60% possession and led a host of attacking metrics including shots, big chances and touches in the opposition box.
The trick, according to Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk, was to âstay calmâ - although he added that is âeasier to say than doâ.
âA great comeback, it is very positive. Itâs disappointing having 10 men but we showed fight,â Van Dijk told Sky Sports
There were no complaints from Slot regarding Robertsonâs early dismissal, after the left-back - earlier injured in a high tackle by Issa Diop - denied Harry Wilson a goalscoring opportunity.
Instead, Slot praised Robertson for embodying the spirit shown by the side for the remainder of the match.
âThe character the team showed, that is what Robbo showed,â Slot said.
âNothing to blame him [for], [only praise for] the character showed in wanting to continue because he got quite a hard knock. Unfortunately, it led to a deserved red card.â
On his teamâs performance, the Liverpool boss said: "I donât think I couldâve asked for more from my players, especially after going down to 10 men.
âItâs an emotional game and we were a man down. Itâs frustrating [but] itâs good to see our performance after so many setbacks.â
He added: âBeing a goal down twice, itâs all going against you. I thought we were outstanding.â
I think this is not too dissimilar to NĂșñezâs goal against Villa after Bailey brought Salah down.
The opportunity denied is where the player is unable to continue to score. In this scenario, if Robertson fouled Wilson but was so incompetent at doing so that Wilson could continue with his own goalscoring opportunity thatâs not DOGSO, but if it falls to another player then it is. So in the above situation, if Salah had been fouled but managed to stay on his feet anyway and get there, thatâs not DOGSO if he could still score (but shoots wide or something).
However, I thought I remembered that one of the consequences of playing advantage was that even if you subsequently call it back, itâs only a booking not a sending off.
Did the ref actually play advantage? I seem to recall the Fulham players complaining because he blew up too early.
I donât actually remember. I was just going off the situation suggested.
Looking at it again it seems as though the referee blew just as Jimenez received the ball.
I actually read it this time
Quality post, great stuff to read!
@Peaches, double standards?
I keep hearing about the PGMOL providing an explanation about the two obvious challenges that shouldâve resulted in red cards against Fulham. What exactly did they say?
Well Done Boys, Good ProcessâŠ
Good process.
PS Damn that Whippet, too fast out of the traps!
