This was likely posted already but The Boss was feeling it last night.
Hook him in now on a new contract while he’s feeling the deep love
We started with a new centerback partnership, neither were colossal.
How very dare you?
Real Rorshach in prison vibes there
So apparently his leg is broken because of the tackle…the medics didn’t deem it urgent, he walked off the pitch, no urgent treatment given, and its taken a week to find out…very strange…convenient, the cynic in me thinks let’s try the blame game…report doesn’t ring true to…
Sounds more like they’ve found a fracture. If it was a break, he wouldn’t have walked off.
So he could have done it at anytime…anywhere, anyhow…so maybe the foul didn’t cause it…Brenda and his blame game statement…
It’s pretty likely though that the tackle caused the fracture.
Morton hopefully doesn’t do that again. It was a red. If it was on one of our lads Klopp would be calling for a red.
Ofcourse the twittersphere, particularly deluded Kane fans, are not happy.
Evans seems to have also been misdiagnosed it seems
It was a bad tackle and Morton was lucky.
Kane’s was a bad tackle…and he’s untouchable…suppose its still a bit of a touchy subject…
Hairline fracture, likely. He would have had some soreness, then some swelling over the next day or so, and some of it just would not have gone away. It would likely have been 4-5 days before they did a scan on it. That seems absolutely likely to me.
Morton and Kane should both have been off the pitch for their respective tackles. It ‘all evens out’ is just not good enough.
When there is a lot of bruising it can take several days for that to go down enough to be able to get decent enough pictures on the imaging to diagnose the break.
Fair enough…still think it’s the blame game.
For a tackle as bad as that we need to take that blame on the chin. It was an awful tackle and a lad’s leg is now broken. It’s not a good look to act like we’re being hard done by here, even more so given our lad walked away with essentially zero consequences.
I know it wasn’t a broken leg…but Virg v Trex = similar scenario…player out for months + perpetrator no consequence…the lad might have made a mistimed tackle …but I don’t think it was his intention to injure…
Who has said it was? My only point to is that treating this like it us unfair to us is not a good look, regardless of the fact that we’ve been on the other end of it in the past.
I suppose the situation is our player fouled, didn’t get a ticket, their player picks up an injury, its done, its over, it happened in a physical game of football. Next game.
