2 AM and the game wasn’t even on TV. I was following live updates from BBC, TIA, and my beloved TAN. Couldn’t believe we were trailing 0-2 within 15 minutes. What’s that feeling when you are a simmering pot of disbelief, sadness, anger, and all that sprinkled with defiance and hope? Then Ox scored and I was like; Yeah bitches, the comeback is on. But they made it 1-3 and by HT it was more of hope than belief.
@ILLOK shared a streaming link and I was able to watch the rest of the game; thanks, pal. The HT substitutions lifted our game and my spirit; and at 2-3, I was like a restless Chihuahua with just one thing on my mind, can we make it? Ox definitely didn’t do me any favors by blasting those shots into the infinity. Tick-Tock, Tick-Tock, and my heart was sinking with every passing second.
And then, it happened. Takumi ghosted away from two defenders, softly chesting the ball from a lovely Milner cross and firing the most exquisite volley you will ever see.

Unable to see the second half unfortunately. Sounds like it was a great comeback. It doesn’t get any more dramatic than an equalizer in the 5th min of added time winning a penalty shootout on sudden death.
Seems like our name is on it and maybe we should go for it properly from now on.

Tyler Morton is unlikely to make it here. He is well below Declan Rice at the same age, and Declan Rice even now is also unlikely to make it here.
He’s only 19. Wait until he fills out a bit , he could be anything.

I wish I’d kept that article from some technical director some years ago that said it’s so difficult to predict how a player will develop at ages below 21.
To easy to throw players on the scrap heap because they are developing at different rates.

Well at least Leicester have about five minutes of footage of them singing “We’re going to Wembley” for their end of season DVD… chances are it will be the highlight of their season.

Again, this all comes back to players taking the piss out of refs and the refs allowing it. He should have told him to get back on his line and stay there at the first pen. Second pen he should have booked him and if he carried on sent him off. FFS on the last pen. Schmeichel picked up the ball and stood in front of Jota. Then he retreated to his line and dropped the ball a couple of feet in front of him. Diogo stood his ground and refused to go and pick it up. So the ref like a good little boy went and got it and put it on the spot. What a spineless tw4t.

There seemed to be (on the Lower Main Stand) a lot of younger fans than normal. Willing to join in with the singing. I’m guessing they were taking up tickets that the arl arse ST holders didn’t use thinking it’s only the Carabao Cup. So lads who wouldn’t normally get the tickets were able to get them.

When Schmeichel did that to Diogo I thought, doppy sod, he’s Portugese, he knows all the Dark Arts he won’t come and get the ball and fall for your mind games! Perfectly played by Diogo!

I thought the left hand side threatened in attack last night .
And for me jota seems to be working on being central in attack recently.
He’s better in my view staying central rather than drifting wide .

What a great game of football. Great substitutions at half time. Didn’t think it was going to happen for us until Minamino popped up with an outstanding goal. As said previously they tried to kill the game with all the old tricks which in the end back fired on them. Some really good penalties by both sides and that twat Schmeichel should have been booked for his antics.
