Good performance and got a fair bit of rest in some players.
Chiesa maybe fat and generally slow* but his acceleration and shot well he might well be a vital goal or two in him before the season is out.

Good professional game from the lads, although that goal was certainly avoidable. Not a good enough chance/goal conversion rate, and that’s why the scoreline remained narrow until the end. But our lads were the better team and deserve their win.
So, we are through to the last 16. Well done. It will be very different as soon as we enter in the direct knock-out stages, it will be like a new competition. But well done for maintaining the winning record tonight.

Fede might not have that explosive pace (anymore) but he’s still direct, still got bags of tricks, still got the touch and still got an eye for goal…& he can use both feet - probably better than any of our forwards.
If all he becomes from now until whenever, is coming on for the last 15-20 mins against tiring legs and putting in these cameos, I’m all in.
