I assume that the ref watch lot, and eventually the PGMOL top cunt Howard, will say it should have resulted in Oliver going to the screen at minimum.

By my count, this is the third error of significance that has come against us, with the Diaz offside (Spurs) and the Odegaard hand ball incidents. This before you add the other weird decisions/reds etc we’ve had. 4-6 points right there. Good process boys.

I really do hope Klopp doesn’t hold back in his views on refs in the coming weeks seeing as he’s off at the end of the season - as long as not the the detriment of the players focus.

You said Cold yer big numpty

True. But it isn’t 1977. They would spend more time banned than playing football.

On Atwell: is he too going on regular Abu Dhabi trips? If yes, it deserves an investigation for corruption.

And he gets away with it because of the media agenda that “he’s not that kind of player”.

Sort of reminds me of when Paul Scholes used to get away with potential leg-breakers on a regular basis. The media would just chortle and laugh it off as a “typical Scholesy challenge” when the cunt should have been sent off every week.

Fucking joke.

I wonder how the PGMOL apologists would explain away this snippet of Law 12:

PLAYING IN A DANGEROUS MANNER

Playing in a dangerous manner is any action that, while trying to play the ball, threatens injury to someone (including the player themself) and includes preventing a nearby opponent from playing the ball for fear of injury.

Carra is a fucking disgrace. Never heard so much shit spoken. “ I agree it’s a foul anywhere else on the pitch but in the box it’s not enough”. It’s a foul in the box so it’s a penalty you knob. Lost all my respect for the fella.

Somewhat off topic… Quansah did quite well on the back line. But given our fight on all fronts for a quadruple. Konate’s injury concern brings into question our huge gamble of not bringing in a CB in the January transfer window. Knowing Matips fate.

Both VVD and young Quansah could be potentially run into the ground. Hoping for no prolong absence for Konate.

Imo Gomez is a much better versatile FB than he is as a CB.

Whenever i think of us as a fully fit team. Nobody can beat us. We are another level above the rest. Just need the trophies to prove it to the world.

Can’t stand Craig Burley in his role as a pundit… but fair enough here, he praises LFC non-stop

“He just gave him a talking to. He defused the situation. Good refereeing.”

As If Wtf GIF by Bayer 04 Leverkusen

This was released last month - Premier League has too many VAR checks, takes too long - chief - ESPN

Of the 20 incorrect VAR interventions they identified up to that point this season, 4 were against us. That is rate 4 times higher than would be predicted if everything was distributed completely evenly. You dont actually expect events to be perfectly evenly distributed, and with events this “rare” even one more than expected will make a bias rate look really high, but you dont expect one club in a 20 team league to be on the end of 20% of the bad ones. And certainly not concentrated in key games against title rivals and other sides capable of taking points from you.

The report doesnt say who “they” are, but I assume as Tony Scholes is being cited it would be the Premier League Key Events Panel, not the PGMOL itself so there may be some differences in its list and what Webb has commented on separately so while the report specify what those incidents were, I think we definitely I know three of them

  • Maca red card (the suspension was overturned)
  • Diaz goal
  • Odegaard handball

I cannot think what the 4th is, but i know it was not the virgil or Jones red (based on remembering their review of them when they came out). Note that only covers VAR interventions so doesnt include the PL independent Key Events Panel determining that Jota’s second yellow agaist Spurs was a mistake as well (didnt judge the first as they dont just first yellows to be Key Events).
