Post Match: Liverpool v Man City (EPL 16/10/22 16.30pm)

I’m a good few hours behind. Just finished watching a recording, and I am loving catching up with the comments.

Get in! 1-0 against the sports washing cheats.

Hard to pick a MOTM as they were all brilliant. I went Mo, Gomez and Milner.

The Man City “goal” that was disallowed?

  1. It started from a goal kick that should have been a corner. Ederson saved from Salah, 1v1, getting a nick on it with his right hand to turn it past the post.

  2. Haaland fouled Fabinho, grabbing his shirt and pulling him over with some force.

  3. Haaland fouled Alisson, who had the ball under control, only for Frankentein’s Monster to kick it out of his hands in a foul motion, to spill it to Foden.

Apart from the three infractions, Man City had a case for a goal…. Piss off!

Delighted with the mighty reds. Klopp getting sent off was a joke too. Guardiola did worse all game, and could not, would not, stay in his technical area. Bernardo pulls Mo down in the most blatant foul that was not given, and they broke and could have scored.

Jurgen was well within his rights to complain.

I’m so proud of the reds tonight. I’m so proud to be a fan. Before kick off we were up against it for myriad reasons. But we put in a performance that was out of this world.

The Premier League is lucky we are in that league, because THAT’S what makes it such a valuable global commodity.

If they could just add some sporting integrity we’d be in with a good shout.

According to MOTD, they’ve had it confirmed that if it hadn’t been ruled out for the short pull it would have for Haaland’s foul on Alisson.

If we can use this match as a platform to go on one of our double digit runs we can definitely get back into the CL spots.

Also I know now we can wipe the floor with Arsenal at Anfield

In all seriousness a combo of Taylor as ref and England as VAR official is a stuff of nightmares and so it proved.

Well done the lads and in particularly Gomez. Really steeped up.

Here’s hoping Silva gets asked to explain his little kick at the end. I’m ashamed to say but Salah should have gone down.

Can’t fault any of the lads for that, everyone put a shift in and limited them to pretty much fuck all. Voted Joe, Virgil and Mo MOTM.

A word or two on Taylor. I’ve posted a number of times on here about him ‘missing’ incidents that have gone against us and then he’s had to go and look at the monitor before changing his mind. It stopped being a co-incidence a long time ago. Absolutely incredible how often it’s happened.
So imagine my surprise today when he got told to go and look at the monitor. He must have been fucking gutted knowing that yet again he was going to have to change his decision in our favour.
His ‘refereeing’ today was a fucking disgrace again. He’s a fucking cheat just like those other manc cunts Kavanagh and Tierney.

One thing that’s great today was the club finally calling out the scum in the away end for their vile chants. Should have happened years and years ago but who knows, finally someone at the club may have grown a backbone?
It did make me wonder whether it was in response to the bald fraud whining about coins being thrown. Someone thinking fuck it, if you’re going to sling mud then we will too. It needs to continue moving forward.

Gutted for Jota if it’s a bad one. We can’t catch a break with these injuries. Time for Nunez to step up and I think he will, though he put a good shift in when he came on despite some poor decision making.

Up the fucking Reds!!!

Didn’t some away fans damage a display and graffiti Hillsborough slogans?

I really don’t go for referee bias and what not. But I totally agree, he was useless today. The fact he needed a var review for the foul on Fabinho is shocking. And to let the double foul on Mo go was taking the piss.

His performance needs to be reviewed. Incompetent.

He did!

We surprised everyone, didn’t we. up against the Best striker possibly in the world now, against the side that is sweeping teams aside and scoring goals for fun and in form, coupled with our ridiculously bad start and low morale and multiple injuries, no one would have been surprised if we were simply swept aside and overwhelmed by Man City. But we came, we had a go at them, while there were times when Man City dominated us, the reverse is true too and we were more than just containing them, we were more than a match for them and we fully deserved the win. The passion was overflowing and showed how much everyone at the club wants this so badly to overcome the hurt and criticisms that not only come from critics, the media and even our own fans. Lets use this to propel ourselves to more positive results and let this be a reminder of what our club stands for beyond winning games, that we never give up and that we will always come back better and greater.

That is what we like to see,the Liverpool of old, taking no prisoners from the kick off.
Who is Harland? Was hoping Virg would have him in his pocket, he did, with a bit of help from Gomez.
Great to see!
A lot of good performances today, but because I’m old fashioned…one, and that is Virg for MOTM!
Great to see Mo back to his scintillating best, maybe we can now believe we are turning our season around and that Rangers was not just another Bournemouth flash.
Last word for now,Taylor is deffo incompetent, shouldn’t be in charge of the school boy games!

You got balls? I though you had a vagina.

Nope…not with a performance like that. Other performances this season…a different story.

The important thing is that you’ve learned your lesson.
