Oliver pointing out one of best assistant referees is shit at his job and a ramos style assault on Salah is a ā€œperceived slightā€.

The bigger point, one that I make a lot, is refs are seemingly universally shit communicators who cannot articulate why they reach the decisions they do. There is a world of difference between stating, or restating just with more words, that you thought it was a foul/not a foul vs actually explaining why you thought as such. There are lots of them who work in media who are paid to do exactly what Gallagher is paid to do here and in no case that I have ever seen does anyone provide anything remotely close to adding value or valuable insight.

This is seemingly a huge obstacle to the popular solution of having refs publicly explain their decisions. If they do, what we are seemingly going to do is be exposed to their inability to justify their decisions. This is probably a large part of why managers are always so frustrated at not being able to get explanations from them when confronted after the game.

So youā€™re getting to know me then :laughing:

Because it was Taylor. He has plenty of form for ā€˜missingā€™ infringements against Liverpool and then has to go and look at a fucking monitor to arrive at the correct decision. I can only imagine he stands there thinking ā€œIā€™m a cheating cunt and Iā€™m being exposed again.ā€
Kompany on Salah the first year we came 2nd (pre-VAR), Maneā€™s disallowed goal v Wolves at Anfield the year we won it, Pogba on Keita last season, Reece James handball on the line last season, foul on Fabinho yesterday, just some of the times heā€™s been told to go and look at the monitor after trying to shaft us. There are no incidences where heā€™s had to look at it and change a decision to our detriment. Heā€™s a fucking cheat.

What I like about Alissonā€™s distribution is that it is obviously worked on. His technique involves almost falling over to get his foot/contact almost square on with the ball to reduce its elevation.
Regarding Salahā€™s control, the second touch to get it out of his feet is as equally as impressive as the first. It would be easy get to excited, but it was so deft that he never had to check his stride.

Unluckily for Bernardo, shortly after that game Mo decided to become 99% muscle so no cunt could ever do that again.

To add insult to injury everyone knew it was a save from Ederson but Taylor and VAR thought it was a goal kick!
