Pep very honest in his post match. “No complaints, Liverpool deserved the win they are a far better side than us…Klopp is a far better manager than me, I can only win trophies at the biggest clubs in their respective country…Haaland is not the player I thought he could be, I think even now he remains in Joe’s pocket and lastly the atmosphere was too big for us, very rarely do we get to play in front of a rowdy crowd like this…even at home but it’s ok. Congratulations to Liberpool.”

When you have paid that money you shouldn’t be saying that more times than not his general skill level is atrocious.

Neville not giving us any credit still.

‘I snapped - my fault’

FT: Liverpool 1-0 Man City

Liverpool

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp to BBC Sport: "Nothing to do with anything, in my situation you have to take everything. I am old but I am not tired, nothing to do with the general situation but the build up to today.

"Pep and I have no problem, we were talking and saw it the same way, how can you lead a game like this? So many flying challenges, players have to adapt and if it is allowed for them to do then good. Lets play football.

"We can only watch and accept what they do but in that moment I snapped, my fault and I hope we agree, and that on Match of the Day you have the time to look at that situation, and maybe somebody in the studio finds an explanation why that was not a foul."

Said before the game that Manuel Akanj hasn’t really been tested this season.

Mo ripped him a new one. Other teams need to put pressure on him being the new link for $hitty before he gets used the system and gains confidence (or other players like Laporte come back).

A special mention to James Milner who most wrote off before the game letting Foden out of his pocket at full time.

Milner played like a machine tonight tbf, rolled back 70 odd years there when he was in his prime.

Sky have already analysed it - according to them, it was a foul but it was an excellent decision by Anthony Taylor not to call it for all the neutrals watching :upside_down_face:

Pure idiocy if true.

He can have as long as he likes to get used to the system - he’s a class B defender at best. He might suit City’s needs for the majority of their games, but he’s not what any team needs in a game in which they have to last through a backs to the wall period.

However, with that said, it was Diaz and and Cancelo that Mo saved his best for, two members of their side who are in their preferred side. He made mugs of the both of them, and Dias on more than one occasion, and it was glorious to see. This was the Hercules looking Mo of old. Watching players bounce off him as he accelerated away was just pure beauty. This was exactly what we’ve been so missing this season.

If its true…thats a no no…but they have a habit of trying to point the finger, at fans , grounds, especially when they lose…but look at your own supporters first, sick comments n songs…disgusting…

We are deeply disappointed to hear vile chants relating to football stadium tragedies from the away section during today’s game at Anfield. The concourse in the away section was also vandalised with graffiti of a similar nature.

We know the impact such behaviour has on the families, survivors and all those associated with such disasters.

We are working with the relevant authorities and we will also work with Manchester City in order to do our utmost to ensure these chants are eradicated from football altogether.
