Still don’t understand why Bobby didn’t lay it off to Andy.

If we scored that, the have would’ve been a canter. First half we played really well.

But second half we needed to step up which we didn’t. Need to go back to winning ways in the next game

Worse thing is that Shitty have quietly put together a winning run, and before we know it they’ll be pulling away.

Hopefully Matip is back to allow Jordan back in midfield

Two midfielders at the back, nothing created up top for four games bar the Mane goal tell me what to expect?

It’s evidently rinse and fucking repeat.

I know we drew, I know we have problems, but they didn’t score, especially that cheating pastry crimper…sorry but he wants sorting out…

I am just relieved that we didn’t lose. Some top class goalkeeping kept us in it at the end. Fabinho and Allison joint man of the match. Henderson did well at CB but he was out of position a couple of times and it almost cost us. Fabinho saved us a few times. I noticed that the fullbacks never go to the byline any more. It’s always the square ball back inside and when the other team are defending with 10 men behind the ball, this suits them.

Frustrating day and it highlights how much we miss Jota. Seeing Origi come off the bench for us is depressing - he just isn’t good enough. Sorry, but that’s just a fact at this point. Positives from the game were Thiago, Fabinho and Allison. Everyone else very average.

we are really not generating anything. its better to create and miss than not to create at all. we are averaging less than 4 shots on goal PER GAME…today we only had one from outside the box

Oh and it will be good to get back to playing every three days or so. In theory being well rested is supposed to help but we’ve been wank after long breaks and right on it when pushed to limit for years now so that theory is obviously fucked.

It’s all down to the injuries IMO. All of it. We have a small squad and every player has specific roles. There is overlap here and there but in the cases of Hendo and Fab, for instance, that’s more out of luck than judgement. Klopp’s entire tactical plan was thrown out of the window very early in the season and he is having to wing it a bit at the moment because the players he needs in specific positions, playing specific roles, aren’t available to him. He must be more frustrated than anyone else right now. His highly tuned and brilliantly calibrated chronograph is running off a battery while he’s waiting for precision parts to arrive.

And if that last sentence isn’t the most pretentious thing you’ve read today I’ll take that :grinning::+1:

Both teams were crap, especially united.

Alisson, Fab and Thiago played well.

it seems everybody seems to think its the front 3 are not clicking . i don’t think this the only reason , VVD is a big big miss, when he is playing the midfield is my better more assured and not to forget what threat he is from corners . playing hendo and fabinho in defence is hurting our offence especially how we win the ball and stop counters . i dont see this changing ( w are not getting a CB) and even if Matipp starts playing we will still miss fabinho in the midfield

I think some of the players have been injured, but we haven’t plastered it in the press…keep it in house…

Agree that Shaw had Salah in his pocket the whole game. Salah looked devoid of ideas.

Agree that getting someone in, to allow Fabinho back into MF, would be a huge benefit to our team. Sadly, it doesn’t look like it will happen.

Disagree on Trent, very frustrating today, so many passes off the mark, which immediately put the Mancs on the counter.

I love a lot of the solutions here. Like it’s so easy.
Before the game it’s Shaquiri is the answer, no Taki, no so and so is.
After the game what did Shaquiri really do?

Any videos on Jurgen’s post-match presses?

Win all our remaining games and we’ll end up on 94 points.

Reckon that’ll get us the league.

Pleaded pretty please to the ref to believe him.

That looked like two teams who were frightened of losing the game, although the Mancs seemed to fancy their chances in the last 10 minutes. I’m sure we’ll click into gear soon enough and start scoring again. That game will have done Thiago the world of good, he’s looking sharper.

I thought Shaq played well.

But he’s better coming on than starting imo.

All of this. It struck me during the match today. The Boss hasn’t been himself for months and our play is a direct reflection of that. We’ve been at such an unbelievable level for almost 3 years now and maybe it’s taking a little bit of a toll on him. I will say he’s absolutely terrified to sit Bobby.

EDIT: and I’m not even thinking about winning the league. The margins are so razor thin in top 4 we need to get this ironed out and on our way. 7 draws isn’t getting it done.
