Browsing their forums and subreddit, it looks like a lot of them are having a moan about their players being tired because they have been playing every 3-4 days for two months. That’s such a small club mentality to me. Playing that often is the price of greatness. We did that 5 years straight and no one could touch us. They have played 5 more games than us in 2023. No sympathy.

Pretty sure that’s what the ref was saying to Jota in the 88th min on the non-call for a penalty to make it 8-0. He just couldn’t blow the whistle. It was already embarrassing enough

I woke up this morning with a full days’ agenda planned, none of it included watching the match. But I snuck in 20min before leaving the house (08:30am start here). Left the house feeling like we had a chance. Stayed off the phone til we got back at 4pm. And then I restarted at the 20min mark.

So, watched the 2nd half again. Still not much closer to deciding on MoM votes, but my great insight was…
the VAR highlight they showed for the 6th goal that Beglin was saying might be offside is absolutely bizarre. They draw the line showing Firmino’s foot beyond the ball, commentators say ‘looks offside’, as Firmino appears to step over the ball. Why on earth would they show that image? Offside is judged at the moment the ball is played by a teammate to the player. The ball is played into Firmino on the run well before that, he himself touches the ball just before that image, then the ball goes back out to Salah. What was that line?!?

Antony - successfully spinned thrice to make the fans go crazy (doesnt matter what it lead to) and took 7 shots by cutting inside in all these games which Darwin hasn’t done. If you don’t call that a success, I don’t know what is?
