As great as it felt at the time, I cannot help but think that it was a 7-0 game as much as Real Madrid was a 2-5 game.
The margin of the scores flatters the winning side a lot. Different day, we’d be winning only 2-0 or 3-0. Not that we didn’t deserve to win, but our luck (that we managed to take advantage of) was also really incredible.
Hope we can channel the emotions properly and use that to work harder and sustain us for the rest of the season, starting with 3 points against Bournemouth, and somehow getting a result against Madrid.

Yup it probably wasn’t a 7-0 game what it was it was a comfortable win.
Not since Brentford has a team done that to them when he junked Ronaldo and Maguire.
That’s got to be a worry for them, bar whatever Alisson was doing at no point I expected them to come back at us after that second. It was actually vintage us coming out sharp and scoring quickly.

As for Bruno, if our player did what he did, I’d want him sold. I know we’ve joked on Fabinho but the effort was there he just didn’t have any at times.

The opening goal at the end of the first half was all about patience. We played the ball along the back probing for spaces. Made some switches. Recycled the ball back to Ali, then onto Andy who came inside and almost demanded the run from Gakpo.
Excellent team goal.
