you know he’s contracted until 2023 right? He’s nowhere near leaving for free.
I’m not overly concerned. It’ll get sorted.

I think it’s no haphazard at all that PSG managed to beat Cheaty two nil the other day. Had he been with us instead with these Qatari fuckers (he came on at minute 78 in place of Verratti in order to help see out the result), it might well have been us getting the clean sheet instead of them .
I know how many years he has left but the sooner it is put to bed the less nervous we will feel
Unfortunately, it’s not as simple as Edwards and co sitting there scribbling down numbers and showing them to Mo until he gives a thumbs up. It’s a negotiation process that takes time and we just need to try not to be nervous about it. I’m going to continue to enjoy the best footballer in the world right now do his thing, and assume it’ll be sorted sooner rather than later.
Like all reds I very much hope Mo signs a new deal, ASAP. Yesterday he looked sharp as a tack, and in current form I can’t think of anyone better in the world. 2-3 in the same conversation, but that is the rarified air our Mo currently occupies.
The negotiation will be a lot more complicated than money. I’m sure length of contract is a factor, and also possibly the terms of exiting the deal is a factor too, should Mo decide he wants a big move to another European giant at some point. On our end we also probably want to know where we stand with Mo before possibly trying to fight for Mbappe or Haaland in the summer.
I’ve always found it interesting how a player can take a full step into a foul then dive over an outstretched leg. That being said, I got sent through on a breakaway on Friday night and I could hear the defender catching me on my right, so I took a stride to that side and did a shuffle with the ball and he bundled over me. DOGSO red card 5 yards from the edge of the box. Ref gave me a little nod and a laugh, he knew what I’d done but had to call it anyways. Defender was unimpressed.
Spot on. and they move the ball across much faster than our aging lads could run. Henderson may only be 30 but he’s been full-on for 10 years and his legs are tiring. Milner is a machine with endurance for days, but he doesn’t have that spring in his step that only comes with youth, and Foden definitely capitalized on that.
Henderson trying to cover Milner’s side is a bit dicey sometimes. I’d much rather have the option of a 4-2-3-1 at that point with Henderson playing beside Fab and Curtis (Thiago) advanced.
what’s the most serious issue I saw this match was turnovers. how many times we just gave the ball back to them. I’ve not seen anything like that in some time and not sure why it continued to happen. like the boys didn’t know where their outlet passes were supposed to go, to break up the press. puzzling.
He wasn’t even the best City player. You must have nipped out for a cup of tea when our guy was dancing round their defence?
begrudgingly admit that Citeh pass the ball well. Positives from the game, didn’t concede in the first half, didn’t lose, still unbeaten, and Mo with a superb goal
You know a match lasts 90 plus minutes and it’s ok to praise an opposition player. You must have nipped out for a brew while he was dominating the midfield for most of the match.
Not sure if correct, but seems so by looks of it.
One of the best interviews I have seen, the insight from a tactical perspective
Spot on summary.
Salah’s brilliant goal from every angle. It just oozes brilliance!
Loving the fact how the crowd interacts: first noise after outplaying bernardo (and 2 other players) and the second noise after going past laporte and the third was the outburst with the goal.
Wish I would have been there at Anfield to witness such a sensational goal.
Yawn. Two points dropped from a winning position. Twice in this game and twice in the last league game, so that’s four points dropped.
That’s all that matters.
I was thinking exactly this when I was watching.
Ohhhhh
Ohhhhhhh
Yeaaaaaahhhhh
If found to be true, this is shameful especially during this pandemic period. Granted, they are assholes but we definitely do not want to be brought to their level. If guilty, the appropriate punishment needs to be meted whether from the police or from the club.
Chris is next!
Sorry, that was based on the observations about the first half (that I read) with a solid attacking performance (that I observed) second half. Additionally, it’s mad to think that (defensively) the second half resulted in two goals against, while the first half — in which we were apparently more under siege — ended 0-0. That’s football, I guess.
serious question here…do you get an assist if you pass it to Mo in that scenario?
