Post match: Liverpool v Msn City (EPL 3/10/21 4.30pm)

Probably a fair result. We were not good from 15 to 45, but We played much better in the second half

This was a very poor first half , improved 2nd . our midfield was just inferior actually way inferior, they have B silva who has the skill of thiago and energy of Henderson. speaking of henderson lots of energy very little football brain. curtis is miles from the level of a premier league champions and to be honest we can win the PL if city loose it . other areas of the pitch we are equal they just have more options . unless we sort the midfield we can fight for 2nd or 3rd.

Messi, watches that Salah goal, remembers when he could do that.

A game where a certain Dutchman was sorely missed.

Will take a point and probably fair in context of the two halves. Disappointed that we could only get 2 out of 6 points at home to City and Chelsea, our title rivals.

Salah’s goal was absolutely world class. To do that to a defense that had conceded only one goal throughout the season says volumes how amazing player he is. The RB substitution could have been utilized for a midfielder if we had Trent fit. Klopp only uses 2 subs, so we had to continue with what we had.

We have lot of work to do to be in the shape and form we were when we won the league. Not a worry as we usually peak late. Glad these two games are out, fcking international break to look forward to!

Why did our midfield look so utterly shagged all game!!

I did think we deserved the point but agree midfield was a shambles and Hendo was running around like a chicken with no head

Three games in 8 days? City rotated.

Could have been out of it at half time. Very poor.

Second half much better. Salah - Mane combo for the first. Lovely embrace by the both of them after that - they never pass to each don’t they media? Buut then a brilliant Foden equaliser.

Followed by a sublime goal by Mo, which deserved to be the winner. Danced through the City defence, and from a tight angle on his weaker foot, placed it hard and perfectly.

Only for KDB to fluke a deflected goal, in which Ali had the initial shot covered all the way.

Our game management has shot to pieces. Last four goals from us, followed by an equaliser as we’re still playing the same way. just needed more composure for a few minutes after the lead.

This is the second time he’s scored such a goal and it’s not a winner. It deserves to be the winner. Kane I think spoilt the first one couple of seasons back.

No, after that first half it feels like a win. Could have been down to 10 men as well

I don’t get it…It has been so many years and so many liverpool fans know that Henderson has no agility to turn away from trouble and hasn’t really got the composure to pick out the right pass under preasure which is why he converted to a DM.

Today and the Brentford game, it really exposed Henderson a lot. Double up on him when he is high up and he is toast…

Our lack of depth really showing.
Take a point after that 1st half

Not really helped by a lack of midfield…

Yes. Van Dijk had an off day today

I thought our midfield had intensity but they over committed time & time again and kept getting beaten too easily which caused us nearly all our problems

First half could have ended worst. Second half should have ended better. Onwards we march together.

Can you imagine the media reaction, if Messi had scored that goal?

There’s a fine line with intensity and headless chicken… Hendo was all feathers…
