They’ve collapsed since we changed the Arsenal thread title …

Yeah you can thank me.

Not sure about Man Utd doing much in a week or so time but I don’t think Arsenal will win the next two. So it’s up to us to ramp it up further by beating Soton. Do that and they then play two on the bounce but 16 points behind. Fail to win both and a steep climb becomes Everest without a guide.

Mo looked positively mischievous last night. It was like he’d decided he wanted us to score a particular sort of goal and everytime he got the ball he tried to manipulate the situation into creating that goal. It was proper playground shit of a player, and team, just utterly in control of the situation and loving life while doing it.

Why would you insult that poor cat like that! What has it ever done to you to deserve that!

They’re fixing the stage floor as she was a bit heavier than anticipated.

Don’t forget the Gerrard slip and Crystanbul year disaster I still haven’t recovered from that one. I haven’t stopped hating moaningho since then.

Yup 7 games or however many we need and we can celebrate all most of this bleating is people who want a slip up.

Michael Thomas was it for me.

And then we signed him later

If it was a match, we are 3:0 up and there is 25 minutes left. We can’t go to sleep, but we are hardly in squeaky bum territory either.

96 was the one that hurt me in a way that made me put my guard up.

We’d got ourselves into contention by around Feb but then picked up some disappointing draws that meant we couldnt get closer than arm’s length from Newcastle. But we had them coming to Anfield coming up where a win would get us right there. But we lost to someone shit the week before that deflated us. But we then beat Newcastle in that famous game and hope was back on. Only for us to then immediately give it all away with a shit loss against Coventry.

The disappointment saw us finish the run in like dick heads getting mocked by Newcastle’s similar implosion. The only thing that made it all worse was fucking Utd being the only one of the 3 to not play like morons down the stretch.

The Gerrard slip had a direct effect on Palace game because we had to chase goals still even 3 nil up.

Thomas scores one of best FA cup final goals.

2-0 perhaps.

We still have to win it.

Even after he joined us I still hadn’t forgiven him for that goal and the celebration.

Said it before but i actually have sympathy with Souness. I’m more angered with the board at that time.

Souness had just come back from Europe and had seen the direction football was going. Far more professional.

It was met with resistance here, by a board and squad determined to stick to the “old ways”. Plus Souness was lumbered with all the managerial duties plus having to sort out all the player contracts and so on.

Bit of a mess.

Ok, let’s say it stands 2-0. But it’s a two-nil in which we dominate the game, launch attack after attack in front of the Kop, while the opposition is nervous, keeps losing the ball and makes errors at the back. They have just conceded the second goal, and the 3-0 is far more likely to come at this point than the 2-1.

23 minutes and a half to go, fingers crossed! :crossed_fingers:

Yeah this ‘crystanbul’ shite has got to stop. We lost the league under Rogers against Chelsea - MOurinho set them up to waste time from the first minute looking for a draw (which would still have kept the title in our hands). Instead of going along with this we try and chase the game from the start, get frustrated and open up leaving Gerrard in a position where his slip made Chelsea very hard to beat.
The Palace game didn’t really matter after that - Cheaty still had it in there hands even at 3-0 because we couldn’t pick up a 0-0 against Chelsea.
