A change won’t be made for a number of reasons, so we just have to hope he can turn things around. We have to accept it’s a lost season. Top 4 may not even be realistic unless we turn things around very quickly. It’s hard to imagine how we got here.

I did have a bad feeling when Wirtz and Bradley were unexpected injuries, but the players we have available should have been capable of getting a result.
I think the main problem is that we defend terribly, from front to back. There seems to be a complete lack of organisation between the players.
On paper, this is a great squad and team. Unfortunately, we keep playing on grass.

Top 4 is gone frankly, no chance a team that loses 8-10 and is looking clueless doesn’t suddenly become great. With Klopp at least he had the injury excuse in that poor spell and if Slot did I’d back him but this looks terrible.

That said, these players have to up their fucking game. The casualness is infuriating. Slot might be having a poor run, but he can’t make these players give a shit.
I don’t want to see Konate anywhere near a Liverpool team again. He can fuck off to Madrid now if he wants. If Slot is unwilling to play Gomez because he might get injured, then that is really fucking pathetic. Why are we paying him a wage for Christ’s sake? People go on about Slot not liking Chiesa, well what has Joe done to him?
As for Salah, AFCON has gone from something to dread, to something to countdown the days until.

When managers get erratic you see these things and they never right themselves. If it was a nessicity so be it but some of it’s just baffling. We know where this ends. I was happy to see if he could build but we are getting worse 2 steps forward 1 step back more like 2 forward 5 back.

Slot justified Isak’s selection in front of fitter players by saying that’d be the quickest way for him to reach 100%, which apparently doesn’t apply to Gomez or to anyone else he doesn’t like.

I’ve read a lot of Redcafe over the years, purely for my own enjoyment you understand. And time well spent it has been too.
When they started getting into the ‘the manager could do better, but player X and Y need to take more responsibility’ you knew the end was nigh.
The manager has ultimate responsibility. You can’t keep picking at individuals for the team playing like this. It’s on Slot, first and foremost, not Konate or Kerkez or Salah.
