From the media perspective, the heat seems to be going out of this penalty call… probably because we walked away with the 3points… On another day, it could have proved quite costly, and with that in mind, LFC should pursue the debate with EUFA and request further clarity

VAR should decide whether it was a penalty, not whether it was handball or not. The match officials made a mess of it; if it was outside the box, it was still a free kick for us. That Romanian referee was terrible.

TBH, the referee mostly annoyed me because he was one of those blighters that constantly gets in the way. There were loads of occasions where we could have got a really incisive pass but the useless lump was blocking it.

If we should meet RM in the latter stages of this competition, that match the other night, and the way we ‘battered’ them from first minute to last, will certainly put a seed of doubt in the minds of the RM players before a competitive ball is kicked between us again.
Gone will be their air of superiority when they see the names of our players on the team sheet… take note Vin Jnr :0)

Agreed. I dontvthink this version of Real has the same mystique of previous teams. It doesnt appear to be as strong. Well actually it isn’t, not by a long way.
