Just a personal feeling…Szoboszlai and Gravenberch came on completely disrupted the forward movements and ball holding that were done really well by Nyoni and McConnell, together with Mac Allister. Szobo was terrible in his passing game in this match, but damn, what a screamer from 25yrds. Koumas had been excellent in this match.

Good display from the second string to be fair. Got my new TV at 6:30 and was set up for 8:18 just for Macallister to christen it nicely

Well deserved he was immaculate all night but having I shouldn’t criticise but Dom was really awful coming on to replace very energetic youngsters and just walking back instead of pressing hard and passing the ball quicker but slowed the game but typically he leathered the winner to shut me up.

We can argue the toss. Did the subs lose control or win the match. I thought bringing in Barcola, Szobo, Isak and Grav was a good call given the score and timing.
Yes Kerkez was pretty good and he has been a few times. He busts it and I hope he can mature and become into the long term left back.

Adding that it’s nice to see Gomez get a good run out, and not get injured. He will be needed throughout this season.

They scored after the substitutions and had several good chances, we definitely lost control when Szob and Grav came on, neither was good, but Dom gets a pass after his wonder goal, but prior to that he missed a sitter and gave possession away twice with poor passes that I could have made at 60 years old.
Grav just kept getting caught out, either over committing or being too high and on a couple of times they had free runs to the centre in behind him.
However, we won but the best performances were from the starters.

That was the most enjoyable game in more than a year. Great goals, full of energy and passion, that’s how football is meant to be played.
McConnell really shone but all the youngsters did well. So did Mamardashvili with some incredible saves, Kerkez, Frimpong, almost everyone really; And Jacquet is starting to look like a steal even at 60 mil.
Last but not least: when everything comes together, this is going to be a very, very good team. Don’t let the naysayers tell you otherwise. It just needs time and patience.

Positives:
All the youngsters had good showings, in particular Koumas. Trey and McConnell were quietly effective.
MacAllister is our best midfielder right now.
Cody back to his best form with another excellent goal.
Mama definitely takes some blame for Tottenham‘s goal, but otherwise had an excellent all-around game.
45 minutes of a healthy Joe Gomez, and hoping that he’ll be able to give us some minutes at fullback going forward.
The general feeling that we can field a central defense that does not include Virgil, but which still looks extremely solid.
Barcola’s speed is insane.
Mixed/Negatives:
Our midfield looked worse when Gravenberch and Szoboslai came on. The former looks completely bereft right now. The latter showed both sides of his game, had his head down too often and missed at least a few passing opportunities, but as usual, runs a lot, and boy can he strike a ball.
Rio needs to spend a little less time dancing around the ball. Still a top prospect.

Probably. Would be a more solid midfield without Wirtz probably.
I dont really care too much about pressing from our number 10. Im more focused on what they do with the ball. Obviously they have to press a bit but yeah.
